Monica Pauline C. has been living at The Manor about two months. She was raised on the eastern shore of Virginia, which she describes as being very much like Florida. Growing up on a farm in Virginia was not without challenges but Pauline enjoyed it. “Virginia is just so beautiful!” She was married to a wonderful man, “Booths” for sixty-three years and they had three children together. Mrs. C. was a second grade school teacher and she also taught children with special needs. Looking back on life, Pauline remembers dating her future husband in college, World War II through the Vietnam War and “that crazy thing with Jane Fonda.” One of the most meaningful gifts in life is Pauline’s daughter, Mary, who comes to visit often.
