IPC has been associated with women targeted magazines and mainly focuses on middle aged women. The international publishing corporation Ltd was formed in 1963 following the merger of the UK’s tree leading magazine publishers- George Newnes, Odhams Press and the Fleetway Publications who came together with the mirror group to form the international publishing corporation (IPC). And IPC magazines were created 5 years later in 1968. IPC would be a good publisher for a new magazine as they have covered a wide range of sub genres. By using IPC to publish a new magazine as they would be able to promote the new artist. The type of genres that they are likely to publish are indie rock. IPC magazines still continue to evolve and improve to this day with the formation of five limited companies based on the former publishing groups. IPC connect, IPC Southbank, IPC tx, IPC ignite and IPC country and leisure Media.

'we love pop' targets girls ages of 13-15 Audience of an interest for music celebrities, fashion and gossip. Egmont

focuses on kids in general and want kids to read no matter in what form and also achieves and provides entertainment

for the target audience. It is a media corporation founded

rooted in Copenhagen, Denmark.

●My chosen magazine is also going to be targeted towards girls between the ages of 13-15●The audience would have the same interests as the readers of 'we love pop’ I chose to do this because I think that approaching this target audience would be easier as their needs are easier to meet. For example using famous boy bands such as one direction are more likely to attract the readers of my magazine and are more likely to stay engaged and carry on reading.●Egmont would be a good publisher for my chosen magazine as it focuses on kids and my chosen magazine also will focus on the children. The chosen sub genre I have decided to do for my magazine is Teen pop. A magazine that links into this sub genre is “we love pop” and my magazine shall achieve the same goals as 'we love pop' as my chosen magazine will also attract the same target audience.

History of Sub GenreTeen pop is a sub genre of pop music that is created, marketed and

oriented towards pre teens and teenagers. It copies genres and styles such as: Pop, R and B, Hip Hop, Country and Rock. Teen-oriented popular music had become common by the end of the swing era, in the late 1940’s with Frank Sinatra being an early teen idol.

21st CenturySince the mid 2000’s, many teen stars have developed careers through their involvement with Disney, like singer songwriters, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and the Jonas brothers.

Typical characteristics of Teen pop:• Auto tuned vocals• Choreographed dancing• Emphasis on Visual appeal (photogenic faces)• Attended hair and designer clothes.
