When I made my first film, I think the thing which probably helped me the most was that it was such an unusual thing to do in the early 50s for someone who actually goes and makes a film. People thought it was impossible. It It really is terribly easy. All anybody needs is a camera, a tape recorder, and some imagination. Interviewed by Charles Kohler, East Village Eye (1968)

I was searching around for job opportunities in the film industry; they seem to be fairly scarce and all lead to internships with he occasional junior entry-level job.

I had known about the fashion and film industry not paying their interns, I stumbled upon an article about 2 interns from the ̒Black Swan̓ movie that weren̓t paid and were going the sue Fox.

“I have no plan, I go where I belong.”

I went to London Film Festival to 2 Q&A sessions with Japanese director Mika Ninagawa and actress Marion Cotillard. It was the first time I had attended anything like this and gave a great insight to the world behind the camera.

Marion said a quote, which stuck with me “ I have no plan, I go where I belong.”It stuck with me because I have been discovering what path to take after I finish uni.

For my FMP I want to create a short film which will enable me to try out different areas in a filmproduciton to see which are my strongest areas.

I̓m I̓m still not sure what area of film I want to be in but I know my vision is to be somehwere in the film industry.
