Research and planning- February

This is the first full production plan I made and it includes all the details about what my final magazine should look like. It gives a general idea and feel of what my three finished pages will

look like.

Choosing a Masthead

After performing this task and choosing variations of mast head colours I have decided that none of the above really work. Each picture looks disconnected from the masthead which is a outcome I do not want for my final magazine. I have decided that I may use a pink similar to my models dress or even sample the colour from the dress.

Choosing a Font

Above are some fonts that I have sampled from dafont.com. I have picked a variety and range of fonts to have a better idea of what font would look best on my magazine. I have circled the four fonts which I like the most and think will fit my house style and blend with the picture and puffs to give the correct composition. The bigger thicker fonts seem to be better and I went with all san seriffed fonts as it gives a more smooth streamlined affect.

Questionnaire Analysis• I carried out the previously shown questionnaire to gain a good idea of my audience. • I received very informative feed back and the statistics are below.1. Out of the 20 people, in my target audience, I asked 18 said they would subscribe to a

Bollywood music magazine.2. 65% of people said they read a magazine for the content, whereas 20% said they read it for

the competitions and free things.3. The majority of people said that a magazine should always have a contents which was not

informative as it is compulsory to create a contents page.4. 100% of people said ‘Yes’ they would buy a Bollywood music magazine.5. Many of the responses said that it was a passionate interest that they could also share with

their friends.6. 85% of respondents said that the layout of the flatplan was good.7. There were a variety of answers for this question and a popular colour with 35% of people

said that pink and blue was a good colour scheme.8. A lot of people that answered the questionnaire said that they would like to have a

bollywood chart break down a feature which showed the trending Bollywood songs and also another popular answer was pictures and information about bollywood film premieres.

This is an example of a graph to show that my target audience, as I suspected, are a majority of females as every female said yes but only 2 out of ten males said they would buy a bollywood music magazine.
