Executive Summary Background: This event celebrates the 100th milestone of the Rezik Corporation whose business has specialized in engineering with the most patent applications worldwide. Through the company’s commitment to exceptional product quality and social responsibility they have thus leveraged their technological developments to preserve their positive corporate philosophy and highest corporate standards. Canada was the first country outside of Switzerland that the Rezik Corporation established itself in. Over the past 100 years the Rezik Corporation has established its mark on every continent within almost 50 countries. The most recent and exciting initiative has developed through their new division Industrial Technology that came from an acquisition of the Swiss Pak Group. The additional business focal points include Automotive Technology, Consumer Goods and Security Systems. The company believes in high quality where their actions, services and products in accordance with the interests and safety of society and the environment. The corporation has sought environmental protection since 1973 and established the Rezik Foundation to promote: health care, international understanding, welfare, education and training art, culture and science. This noble pursuit that the Rezik Corporation practices and prides itself upon is more than worthy of a celebration to their 100th year. Date Selection and Rationale The date of the event will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 through to Sunday, May 20, 2012. We have chosen this date because we can anticipate favourable weather conditions for Toronto. As per the Weather Network Canada, the average temperature in May is 14.2 degrees Celsius ; average high is 18.5 degrees Celsius; low of 9.9 degrees Celsius. We also are capable of tying in the traditional Canadian celebration of Victoria Day which celebrates our roots with the British Empire. We are happy to present this date because it ties in our celebratory objective to which we will be able to also celebrate the worldwide business model of the Rezik Corporation.

We chose the dates based upon the knowledge that international attendees will be able to return to their country with a full free day to spare before the workweek and further responsibilities of those important people commence again. We also took into consideration that local or Canadian domestic individuals may seek to return home on the Sunday with time still available to spend at home with the family. The National Managers’ Conference will be held on the Thursday and Friday allowing the Anniversary Dinner Dance festivities to commence on the Saturday evening.

Theme and Rationale Being a leader in quality engineering since 1886, The Rezik Corporation’s 100 year Anniversary Gala will highlight the company’s dedication to innovation, quality and success starting at its roots. The theme of the gala will mainly focus on Swiss heritage and the Rezik Corporation’s strong, historical bond with Canada. The logo for the Anniversary Gala will be a chocolate ribbon with the Canadian and Swiss flags on each end, tied in a bow so as to “tie” the two countries together, with a slogan underneath which reads “100 Golden Years.” The Gala will also incorporate traditional Swiss delicacies including delis, cheese, and chocolate fountains. Elegant ice sculptures engraved with the gala logo will be placed at each entrance. The gala colours will be white, gold and red with touches of chocolate brown.

National Managers’ Conference – Highlights Date: Thursday, May 17, 2012 Event: Afternoon Conference Time: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Meeting Room: Ballroom III Meeting Room size: 37’ x 32’ 1,184 Seating: Classroom style – maximum 50 The Thursday conference will be held in the hotel that guest will be staying at the five-star Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto®. We have chosen this venue because it offers state of the art facilities upon its recent 2012 unveiling and its ideal location with views of Toronto’s skyline. The hotel is a striking facility to emphasize luxury and modernity with an unmatched reputation for excellence. The hotel boasts 261 guest rooms, where our team has researched and set aside 245 of them for the guests of the Rezik Corporation’s events from Thursday through Saturday nights. We have reserved an additional 12 rooms for contingency planning purposes to ensure that all guests will have space in the hotel. Rooms will be assigned based upon superiority in the company, meaning that Frank Hess, Canada’s Rezik President, and the Lieutenant Governor will be given the best rooms, followed by the Global Managers, all Canadian Vice Presidents and so on. Rooms available at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® include Presidential Suites [4,000 square feet], Grand Deluxe Suites [900 square feet], Deluxe Suites [750 square feet], and Superior & Deluxe Guest Suites [550 square feet]. (*See Appendix 2.1) Check-in time is the traditional 1:00 p.m. so attendees are expected to have sought their lunch prior to arrival at the hotel on Thursday. We encourage that the first day’s activities be held at the hotel because of the amenities available for the conference, spa for spouses/guests and dining. Having the activities this day in one location allows for the settling into the hotel, especially after long plane rides, and ease of convenience to one’s belongings in their room to change from conference to dinner/reception. We have chosen to host the first conference in Ballroom III which seats a maximum of 50 people in classroom style. We envision the set-up similar to that on the right of this page. Tying in the business objective of innovation, the speaker will discuss future developments with the company. As per the Request for Proposal that was submitted to Legacy Elite Events, we recommend this be the opportunity to which Frank Hess addresses the Global Managers and Canadian Executives. (*See Appendix 2.2) The three hour period is a sufficient amount of

time for Frank to “discuss product development, familiarize managers with the scope of the company’s operations globally and discuss the business plan for the new division, Packing Technology… and discuss the feasibility of future global conference opportunities.” Afterwards at 7:00 p.m. the reception/dinner will commence which allows Frank to further meet the Global Managers, as requested in the Rezik Corporation RFP. While Rezik employees are in the conference, their guests/spouses are encouraged to attend The Trump International Toronto’s Quartz Crystal Spa™. The hotel boasts two levels to this spa and wellness centre located on the 31st and 32nd floor. It offers body treatments, therapies, heated pool, fully-equipped health club, juice bar and a Spa Attaché™ to guide guests. Provided in each room is a $500 gift certificate to this spa to accommodate services at the spa for the Rezik employee and the guest/spouse. Our pre- and post- dinner receptions are to exhibit the exquisite appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, special drinks and desserts. We also want to foster communication amongst Rezik employees and guests/spouses because they will need to feel comfortable with spending time and interacting together in the following days. This also gives Frank another opportunity to meet people. Another reason that we encourage the total of a total of 3 hour reception is to accommodate late-comers, and early sleepers while still providing the opportunity to mingle. Attendees will be encouraged to stay because STOCK™ offers so many specialty snacks, drinks and treats. In particular, STOCK™ presents a Chocolate Lab by Owner Inna Levitan with the help of chocolate alchemist and Pastry Chef, David Chow (See Appendix 2.42). Also, the spouses/guests will have some extra time to ease into the day before the day’s program commences. Rezik employees attending the National Managers’ Conference will be provided limousine transportation to the venue. Our second choice would be the prestigious John Bassett Theatre for this presentation, though admittedly oversized for our particular needs boasted over 1,000 seats. The only appeal to the John Bassett Theatre is the theatre style is already constructed with a stage and all. However, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre offers those services that will allow room 101 to transform to the elegance that we require with appropriate staging, A/V and so on. Legacy Elite Events is of the opinion that it would be best to choose a venue for these presentations that is not too large. The specialists that will be attending are leaders in their fields with specified lecture-style presentations that do not warrant audience participation. Similar to an event like the notable TED talks, these presentations will empower new modes of thinking in terms of the Rezik Corporation departments. We encourage Frank to have a sit-down prior to the National Managers’ Conference with the speakers to ensure that he is on the same page with the speakers and can provide further guidance for the messages. This session will feature a 15 minute intermission for guests to get up and move around a bit, located in the lounge and bar of room 101. Head Table Seating Plan We decided that a small head table would work better than one seating all of the Global Managers. Instead, we chose the 3 most important persons at the gala and their seated them with their spouses. The head table will be located along the right side of the stage and looking onto the dance floor. This table will seat 6 people including the Lieutenant Governor and his wife, President Frank Hess and his wife, and Managing Director Julia Watson and her husband. The wife of President Frank Hess will be seated on the far left side of the table with the President seated next to her, to his right will be the Lieutenant Governor. Seated on His Honour’s right will be his wife, Ruth Ann Onley, and to her right will be Julie Watson and her husband. Adjacent to the head table will be a rectangular table seating the Vice-Regal Party. Directly across the dance floor from this will be another table seating the 6 National Managers and their spouses. The rest of the tables will be rounds of 10 seated guests and will be scattered across the ballroom with ample space in between and cleared areas towards the exits allowing guests to get in and out easily.

Protocol for Lieutenant Governor

The Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, David C. Onley will be attending the Anniversary Gala Dinner alongside his wife and his Vice-Regal Party which will include security, his Chief of Staff and Aide De Camp (AdeC). To accommodate his needs, the lieutenant governor will arrive in a wheelchair accessible limousine and move about the gala in a motorized scooter. We have confirmed that all entrances, washrooms, and floors at the Atlantis Pavilion – excluding the mezzanine, which will not be used – are wheelchair accessible and meet the Ontario accessibility standards.

The media will be alerted that the Lieutenant Governor is attending the Gala Dinner through a press release and will be invited to attend and take promotional photographs. All requests for media photographs will need to be approved by His Honour’s AdeC and Chief of Staff.

Franz Hess and his wife will be greeting His Honour upon his arrival. Prior to the official entrance of the Lieutenant Governor and his accompanying Vice-Regal Party, a standard text will be announced to all attendees. The Lieutenant Governor will be the last to enter the gala and as a sign of respect, the audience should rise and applaud upon his entrance. When His Honour reaches his seat, the band will play a piano version of the Vice-Regal Salute.

For the remainder of the gala, The Lieutenant Governor will be seated at the right-hand of his host, Franz Hess. Staff of the Lieutenant Governor will be seated at tables adjacent to His Honour and a security officer will also be seated at the nearest exit should an immediate departure be necessary. During dinner, the Lieutenant Governor will be served first, keeping in mind that His Honour David C. Onley is allergic to garlic.

The Lieutenant Governor will be the first to leave the gala. Upon His Honour’s departure, the exit route will be cleared and President Franz Hess and his wife will accompany the Lieutenant Governor to his limousine to say farewell.

strong ties with Canada. It also aims to commemorate the history of the corporation, celebrate its

present, and highlight its bright future ahead. The gala’s décor will play a big role in demonstrating

this theme through everything from its elegant chandeliers, beautiful centerpieces and extravagant

ice sculptures.

The table setting will incorporate a subtle, shiny gold tablecloth draping under a simple brown linen

cloth. Alongside nicely folded red napkins will be white and gold china plates set with gold chargers

and gold cutlery. The centrepieces for each table will be tall crystal vases adorned with an array of

red flowers and white trilliums – the official flower of Ontario – to help tie in the theme. The seating

will be comfortable and stylish Canadian lumber chairs with chocolate brown ribbons tied in the

shape of a bow around them. Every table will be set with 5 candles and a bottle of wine. The

windows will be left open as to show the view of the Toronto skyline however there will be red raw

silk drapes pulled to either side of all windows.

During the reception guests will be asked to pick up white place cards which will have their names

written on them in gold calligraphy. In return for picking up their place card or attending the gala,

the guest will then receive a gift. The gift will be a small brown box wrapped in a red ribbon, with a

gold plated pen inside engraved with the Rezik logo, company name and the words “Celebrating 100

Years.”

Entertainment

For musical entertainment we will be using Canadian talent, specifically instrumentalists from

Toronto. A professional pianist will play during the reception, upon the arrival of the Lieutenant

Governor and during dinner. The band will be a Jazz Quartet playing classics after the awards

ceremony. For the main act, we’ve selected famous Canadian Jazz artist Michael Bublé to woo our

guests and get the dance started. He will be performing a collection of his hits as well as some

classics. Throughout the night, several speakers including the Lieutenant Governor will take the

podium to make speeches. There will be a slideshow displaying the Rezik Corporation’s growth over

the last hundred years and an awards ceremony to honour the employees. Finally, there will be

fireworks displayed at the end of the night over the Toronto skyline which guests will be able to see

through the large windows in the Metropolitan Ballroom or, if they prefer, we have requested access

to the rooftop balcony so that they are able to view and enjoy them from up there.
