1. Workshop Summary

Chemical Engineering Department organized two days workshop on “GATE PREPARATION” during 20th & 21st December 2016. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Nitin Parmar, MD, ProTalent under the banner of GATE Forum. More than 30 students enthusiastically participated in workshop from pre-final and final year, Chemical Engg Mr. Nitin Parmar, renowned person in the field for gate preparation and has himself cracked GATE twice and that too with a rank under 100. Mr. Nitin started the workshop with a presentation on “GATE PREPARATION”. His session contents included, - Complete know how of GATE paper pattern, - Importance of GATE score in PSU’s, MTesch, PhD, entrance for DRDO, other government

& private jobs - Technical approach along with clearing basics of couple of subjects - Solving of past GATE questions during sessions - Assignments - Online test of 3 hours

His presentation was also aided by amazing facts and figures to which students were left perplexed. The session after lunch was kept for discussion of important formulae and “short method tricks” for solving problems. A test for preparation of GATE was arranged on second day.

The workshop provided an interactive atmosphere between the speaker and the students.

• Importance of GATE • List of PSUs hiring through GATE as GET

• Cut Off marks for GATE

Lunch: 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm

Session by Mr. Nitin Parmar: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

• Discussion & Solving of Past GATE questions & Shortcut methods & tricks
