Report of the Events/Activities Organized
1. Tree Plantation: 28-06-2012
100 SD and 42 SW cadets with 2 teachers of the NCC unit of college actively
participated in Tree Plantation activity organized by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 28th
June 2012. They have planted 50 trees in the college and outside college and pledged to
water these plants regularly.
2. Save The Girl Child : 21-07-2012
18 MAH BN & NCC unit of College organized “Save The Girl Child” program for social
awareness on 21st July 2012. The cadets have actively participated in the exhibition on
the theme of Save The Girl Child. 150 SD and 50 SW cadet and 3 ANOs participated in
it.
3 Kargil Vijay Diwas: 26-07-2012
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon and Yuva Shakti Foundation Jalgaon jointly organized a
celebration of ‘Kargil Vijay Divas’ on 26-07-2012. 1 ANO, 20 SD and 10 SW cadets
from the college NCC unit were present in the event.
4 Poster competition on female feticide (27-08-2012)
A poster competition on female feticide was organized by Ojaswini Fine Arts Department
on 27-08-1027. Total 27 students and 8 teachers were participated in this competition.
Through this competition Save The Girl Child message was conveyed to the society.
Principal Anil Rao and Mr. Avinash Kate, Head of Ojaswini Fine Arts Department were
present on this occasion.
5 Sanitation Activity: 28-08-2012
To promote importance of hygiene 18 MAH BN & M J College NCC unit Jalgaon jointly
organized ‘Sanitation Program’ on 28/8/12, 25 SD and 14 SW cadets participated in this
program under the guidance of 2 ANOs. In this activity, the commanding officer of the
battalion guided the cadets about the importance of health and hygiene.
6 A rally for ‘Education with Goodness’ (17-09-2012)
On the occasion of 68th
Anniversary of KCE Society a rally was organized on 17-09-
2012 at 11.30 am. Total 245 students and 8 teachers were participated in this rally. The
theme was ‘Education with Goodness. The rally was green signed by President KCE
Society Mr. Nandakumar Bendale. Mr. Avinash Kate, Head of Ojaswini Fine Arts
Department was also present on this occasion.
7 Blood Donation (NSS 01-10-2012)
The NSS unit of college in collaboration with Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi, Jalgaon,
organised a Blood Donation Camp in College, Jalgaon on 01-10-2012. Twenty six
students of the college donated blood during this camp. Three teachers were also present
for this occasion.
8 Sadbhavana Rally: 02-10-2012
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised a SADBHAVANA RALLY in collaboration
with Gandhi Research Foundation, Jalgaon on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti from
Railway station to Gandhi Udyaan on 02nd
October 2012. 20 SD and 12 SW cadets with 2
teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it.
9 Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan: 02-10-2012
As a part of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, our 30 SD and 20 SW cadets and 2 ANOs took part
to Clean College Campus for awareness of cleanliness on 2/10/12.
10 Speaking walls (7-11-2012)
On 7-11-2012 Ojaswini Fine Arts Department has organized a ‘Speaking Walls’ event for
social awakening various slogans about Child killing, Child labor, Corruptions, AIDS,
Blood donation, Noise pollution, tree plantation, save water etc were painted on the wall.
Total 74 students and 8 teachers were participated in this event. This was inaugurated by
CEO, Jalgaon Municipal Corporation and president of Jain Irrigation Mr. Ashok Jain.
11 Highway of Healthy Life (12-12-2012)
On 12-12-2012 Ojaswini Fine Arts Department has organized a program in civil hospital
Jalgaon on ‘Highway of Healthy Life’. For this Jalgaon District Collector Mr.
Dnyaneshwar Rajurkar, CEO of Jalgaon Municipal Corporation Mr. Somnarth Janjal and
mayor Mrs. Jayashri Dhande were chief guests. Importance of cleanliness was
emphasized by wall painting. Total 80 students and 6 teachers were present on this
occasion.
12 Blood Donation (NSS 20-12-2012)
The NSS unit of college in collaboration Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi, Jalgaon,
organized a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on 20-12-2012. Thirty
students of the college donated blood during this camp. Three teachers were also present
for this occasion.
13 Blood Donation Camp- 20-12-2012
The NCC unit of college, in collaboration with NSS and Madhavrao Golwalkar
Raktpedhi, Jalgaon, has organised a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on
20 December 2012. The students of the college in great numbers donated the blood
during this camp. 3 NCC officers were present to coordinate the activity; 20 SD and 10
SW cadets donated the blood.
14 Polio Vaccination Activity : 20-01-2013
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon took initiative to send cadets for Polio Vaccination Activity
organised by Civil Hospital, Jalgaon on 20 Jan 2013. 10 SD with 1 teacher from the
college NCC unit actively participated in it.
15 Stop women Atrocity Poster competition and Rally (26-01-2013)
Ojaswini department of Fine Arts: In joint collaboration with J. P. Tech. Multipurpose
Foundation has organized ‘Stop women Atrocity Poster competition and Rally’ on 26-
01-2013. Total 221 students and 3 teachers were participated in this occasion.
16 ‘Mahatma – A state level workshop and picture display’ (28-02-2013)
On 28-02-2013, A state level workshop and picture display on “Mahatma” was organized
by Ojaswini department of Fine Arts and Mahatma Gandhi study centre of M J College,
Jalgaon. This was specially organized for minded, Deaf, Deaf and dumb and physically
challenged students. Total 87 students and 6 teachers were participated in this event.
This was inaugurated by famous artist Mr. Neminath Phalke. He actually demonstrated
this. Vice Principal Dr P. R. Chaudhari, Coordinator of Gandhi Study centre Mr. Vijay
Lohar and Head, Ojaswini Fine Arts department Mr. Avinash Kate were present on this
occasion.
17 Observance of Earth Hour: 23-24, March 2013
For the attention of people towards the Climate Change Effects, 18 MAH BN NCC and
our college NCC unit Jalgaon organized “Observance of Earth Hour” programme on
20/3/13. Major Bhalsing guided the cadets on th subject of climate change effects in the
presence of Col Mundalia, CO, 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon. Our 150 SD and 50 SW
cadets and 3 ANOs participated in this program.
18 Save Tiger
Drought prone forest zone of Jamner is difficult to survive for wild animals during
summer. Students and staff members of college provided water in the forest zone of
Jamner with the help of forest officers Mr. S R Patil and Mr. Shabbir Tadvi on 06-05-
2013 and 24-05-2013. 10 students and 2 teachers were participated in this activity.
19 Poster Exhibition on “Tobacco free society” (01-06-2013)
On the occasion of say no to tobacco day on 01-06-2013, a poster Exhibition on
“Tobacco free society” was organized by Ojaswini department of Fine Arts. Total 135
students and 6 teachers were participated in this exhibition. This exhibition was
inaugurated by I/C Principal Dr. P. R. Chaudhari.
20 Tree Plantation : 28-06-2013
40 SD and 20 SW cadets with 2 teachers of the NCC unit of college actively participated in
Tree Plantation Activity organised by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 28 June 2013. They
have planted 100 trees in the college and outside college and decided to water these plants
regularly in the presence of Captain Smita Chaudhari, Lt. Bhalerao and TO. Krishna Talele.
21 Flood Relief Operation: 05-07-2013
To train the people about Disaster Management “Flood relief operation” was held on 05-07-
2013, our 20 cadets and 2ANOs actively participated in it. In this activity, the commanding
officer of the battalion guided the cadets about the importance of Rescue Relief.
22 Tree plantation program (14-07-2013)
On under ‘Green promotion scheme’ on 14-07-2013 tree plantation program was
organized in collaboration with Gayatri pariwar and Ojaswini department of Fine Arts.
On this occasion everyone was adopted one tree and take oath to grow and nurture it. Mr.
Kishor Patil Mayor and Mr.Ramesh dada Jain from Jalgaon Municipal Corporation,
managing council of KCE Society Mr.Vidyadhar Panat and Prin. A. G. Rao were present
on this occasion. Total 158 students and 7 teachers were participated in this event.
23 Tree plantation program (NSS 14-07-2013)
Tree plantation program was organized by NSS unit in the college campus on 14-07-
2013. 142 volunteers participated in it. Volunteers planted various trees like ‘Neem’,
‘Rosewood’, ‘Bahera’.
24 Kargil Vijay Diwas: 20-07-2013
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon in collaboration with Yuva Shakti Foundation, Jalgaon has
organized a celebration of ‘Kargil Vijay Divas’ on 20-07-2013, in which 2 ANOs, 80 SD
and 40 SW cadets participated. Col Batra shares his experiences of war and his son Capt.
Batra’s last words.
25 University Campus cleaning 15-09-2013
Campus cleaning drive was organized in the ‘North Maharashtra University’, on
15-09-2013. 262 volunteers from the college participated in the drive. Plastic bags, paper,
and other such garbage was cleared from places like roads, gardens, canteen. Three
teachers also participated in the drive.
26 Health and Hygiene Awareness 20-09-2013
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised Health and Hygiene Awareness Activity on 20
September 2013, in which 100 SD and 35 SW cadets with 3 teachers participated in the
activity. In this activity, the commanding officer of the battalion Col. K. V. Vithal guided
the cadets about the importance of health and hygiene.
27 Swachha Bharat Rally (NSS 1-10-2013)
On the eve of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’, a rally for ‘Clean India’ was organized by the NSS unit.
The course of the rally was from ‘Nutan Maratha College’ to ‘Dr. G.D. Bendale College’.
The motive of the rally was to make people aware of importance of cleanliness. 261
students from college took part in the rally. Three teachers also participated

Gandhi Research Foundation, Jalgaon from Railway Station to Gandhi Udyan, Jalgaon
on 02-10-13. 125 SD and 50 SW cadets participated under the guidance of 2 ANOs.
29 Swachha Bharat Abhiyan 02-10-2013
The NCC unit of college organized Swachha Bharat Abhiyan in M. J. College on 02nd
October 2013. 40 SD and 20 SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit
participated in it and cleaned the college campus.
30 Blood Donation (NSS 18-01-2014)
The NSS unit of college in collaboration with Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi, Jalgaon,
organised a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on 18-01-2014. 108
students of the college donated blood during this camp. Three teachers were also present
on this occasion.
31 Free Addiction Campaign (01-02-2014)
Ojaswini department of Fine Arts has organized a poster competition on ‘Free Addiction
campaign’ on 01-02-2014. Total 153 students have participated in this competition and 6
teachers were present.
32 Polio Vaccination Activity:
Polio vaccination program was organized by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon in collaboration
with Civil Hospital, Jalgoan for awareness about polio and polio vaccination on 28-02-
2014, in which 10 SD cadets and 3 ANOs participated actively.
33 Vote for India, Poster (26-03-2014)
For creating awareness about voting rights, a poster of 45 fts was prepared by students of
Ojaswini department of Fine Arts. The theme of this poster was 'Vote for Sure'. It was a
cartoon prepared by students and displayed on the every gate of M. J. College. Total 260
students and 7 teachers have participated in this event.
34 Kargil Vijay Diwas: 14-07-2014
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised Kargil Vijay Diwas in collaboration with Yuva
Shakti Foundation, Jalgaon on 14 July 2014. 40 SD and 20 SW cadets with 3 teachers
from the college NCC unit participated in it.

30 SD and 20 SW cadets with 3 teachers of the NCC unit of college actively participated
in Tree Plantation activity organised by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 15-07-2014. They
have planted 80 trees in the college and outside college and sworn to water these plants
regularly.

To promote importance of hygiene 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon and M J College NCC
unit organized sanitation program on 18-08-2014, in which 15 SD and 5 SW cadets
participated under the guidance of 3 ANOs.

The NSS unit of college, in collaboration Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi, Jalgaon,
organized a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on 16-09-2014. 105

38 Sadbhavana Rally: 02-10-2014
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organized a SADBHAVANA RALLY in collaboration
with Gandhi Research Foundation, Jalgaon on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti from
Railway station to Gandhi Udyaan on 02 October 2014. 22 SD and 10 SW cadets with 3
teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it.
39 Swachha Bharat Abhiyan: 02-10-2014
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon and M J College NCC unit conducted “Swachhata Abhiyan”
for clean India on college campus on 02-10-2014, in which 110 SD and 43 SW cadets
with 3 ANOs actively participated.
40 Dakshta Janjagruti Saptah : 27 OCT 2014 to 1 Nov 2014
Anti Corruption Bureau, Jalgaon organized “Dakshta Janjagruti Saptah” at M. J. College
on 27/10/14 to 1/11/14. 30 SD and 7 SW cadets participated under the guidance of 3
ANOs.
41 AIDS Rally (NSS 1-12-2014)
NSS unit of college organised AIDS Awareness Rally from Civil hospital, Jalgaon to
college on 01-12- 2014. 208 students with 3 teachers participated in it. District Collector
Mrs. Rubal Agrawal, MLA Mr. Raju Bhole, NSS coordinator of N M University, Jalgaon
were present on the occasion.
42 Human Rights Awareness: 10-12-2014
“Human Right Awareness” programme was held by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon & M J
College NCC unit to create awareness in the society about social responsibilities and
rights, on 10/12/2014. 40 SD and 20 SW cadets along with 3 ANOs participated actively
in this program.
43 Vijay Diwas 16-12-2014
The NCC college unit organised a programme for the cadets to get the detail idea of
VIJAY DIWAS, which is celebrated on 16 of December in the memory of a great victory
of 1965. On this occasion Col K V Vithal, CO, and Suresh Kumar, SM, of 18 MAH BN
NCC, Jalgaon guided the cadets. 120 SD and 40 SW cadets with three teachers were
present for this programme.
44 Polio Vaccination Activity 18 JAN 2015 & 22 FEB 2015
Polio vaccination program was organized by Civil Hospital, Jalgaon in collaboration with
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 18-01-2015 and 22-02-2015. 15 SD and 5 SW Cadets and
3 ANOs participated actively.
45 Save The Girl Child : 24-01-2015
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised “Save The Girl Child” program for NCC
Cadets to create social awareness among cadets on 24-01-2015, in which M J College
NCC 65 SD and 50 SW cadets and 3 ANOs actively participated.
46 Workshop on Gender, Patriarchy and Atrocities (3-02-2015)
A Sociology department has organized a workshop on Gender, Patriarchy and Atrocities
on 03-02-2015. Volunteers from ‘Samyak Foundation, Pune’ Mr. Anand Pawar and Mr.
Pritam Potdar demonstrated and guided the students. Total 70 students and 15 teachers
participated in this workshop.
47 Poster competition on AIDS awareness (26-02-2015)
On 26-02-2015, Ojaswini department of Fine Arts in collaboration with Civil Hospital
Jalgaon has organized a Poster competition on AIDS awareness. Many posters were
prepared and displayed in this competition. Total 60 students and 3 teachers participated
in this competition.
48 International Yoga Day 21-06-2015
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised an International Yoga Day for the cadets from
Jalgaon schools and colleges at the convocation hall, NM University, Jalgaon. The cadets
were given training in yoga by the yoga teachers of the M. J. College. 160 SD and 50 SW
cadets of our college with 3 teachers actively participated and did yoga together on
21June 2015.
49 Tree Plantation 28-06-2015
85 SD and 30 SW cadets with 2 teachers of the NCC unit of college actively participated
in Tree Plantation activity organised by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 28 June 2015.
They have planted 100 trees in the college and outside college and sworn to water these
plants regularly.
50 Blood Donation
The NCC unit of college, in collaboration with NSS and Madhavrao Golwalkar
Raktpedhi, Jalgaon, has organised a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on
23 July 2015. The students of the college in great numbers donated the blood during this
camp. 3 NCC officers were present to coordinate the activity. 15 SD, 5 SW cadets and 65
students of the college donated blood during this camp. Three teachers were also present
on this occasion.
51 Health and Hygiene Awareness 20-09-2015
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised Health and Hygiene Awareness Activity on 20
September 2015, in which 150 SD and 50 SW cadets with 3 teachers participated in the
activity. In this activity, the Subedar Major Suresh Kumar of the battalion guided the
cadets about the importance of health and hygiene.
52 Sadbhavana Rally 02-10-2015
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised a
SADBHAVANA RALLY in collaboration with Gandhi Research Foundation, Jalgaon
from Railway station to Gandhi Udyan on 02 October 2015. 113 SD and 40 SW cadets
with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it.
53 Swachha Bharat Abhiyan 02-10-2015
The college NCC unit organised Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan in College and outside the
college in collaboration with 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 02 October 2015. 113 SD
and 40 SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it and
cleaned the college campus.
54 Workshop on Gender Equality and Relationships 9-10, October 2015
Sociology department has organized a two days workshop on Gender Equality and
Relationships on 9-10, October 2015. Mr. Amol Kale and Suraj Pawar from ‘Mava
Pratishthan, Mumbai’ guided students by screening films, demonstrations and personal
dialog with the students. Total 75 students and 10 teachers were present for this workshop.
55 AIDS Rally (NSS 1-12-2015)
On the occasion of ‘International AIDS Day’, a rally was organized by NMU on 1-12-
2015. The motive of the rally was to make people aware of AIDS disease and preventive
measures to be taken. Another aim of the rally was to remove superstitions and myths
related to ‘AIDS’ from the minds of people.
56 AIDS Awareness Rally 01-12-2015
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon organised AIDS Awareness Rally in collaboration with Civil
hospital, Jalgaon from Civil Hospital to the Battalion on 01 December 2015. 160 SD and
50 SW with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it.
57 Human Rights Awareness 10-12-2015
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon organised a lecture on Human Rights Awareness for the
cadets of Battalion on 10 December 2015. 145 SD and 45 SW with 3 teachers from the
college NCC unit were present for the lecture given by Subedar G N Pandey.
58 ‘Not just Literacy but Education also’ (18-02-2016)
A lecture was delivered by Shri Vireshwar Upadhyay from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidhyalay,
Haridwar on ‘Not Just Literacy but Education also’. This was organized by Ojaswini department
of Fine Arts, ViViDhaTa Sanshodhan Kendra and Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar, Haridwar.
Total 213 students and 4 teachers were participated in this program.
59 Polio Vaccination Activity 28-02-2016
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon took initiative to send cadets for Polio Vaccination Activity
organised by the Civil Hospital, Jalgaon on 28 February 2016. 10 SD and 5 SW with 3
teachers from the college NCC unit actively participated in it.
60 Organisation of Water conservation awareness week (JalaSRI 16-22, March 2016)
Organised by JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon & Water
Resources Department, Jalgaon
A one week workshop was organized from 16 March 2016 to 22 March 2016 in our campus and
people from different walks of working group participated in it. The activity was arranged in
collaboration with water resources department, Jalgaon. Mr. Vilas R. Rajput, Chief Engineer,
Water Resource Department, Mr. S.D. Chopade, Superintendent Engineer, Mr. Anil Bhokare
Program Director IWMP, Dr. Anupama Patil Senior Geologist, Dr. Mrs. D. S. Bendale, Vice
Principal M. J. College, Jalgaon, many engineers from water resource department, senior faculty
members from M. J. College, students, etc., actively participated in the workshop. At the end of
the program all participants took an oath for water conservation. Also, Water literature exhibition
was arranged in the central library hall during this period.
61 Poster competition on Extermination of Tuberculosis (22-03-2016)
To create awareness about Tuberculosis, a poster competition on Extermination of
Tuberculosis was organized by Ojaswini department of Fine Arts on 22-03-2016. Total
125 students and 4 teachers participated in this event.
62 Awareness program for rooftop water harvesting at Jalgaon Municipal corporation
(JalaSRI 22-05-2016)
Conducted by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon in
association with Jalgaon Municipal Corporation, Jalgaon
Rooftop water harvesting awareness camp was organised in association with Jalgaon
Municipal Corporation, Jalgaon in the presence of Nitin Laddha Mayor, Sanjay Kapadnis
Commissioner. In this workshop, many Corporators, technical staff, well known citizens
of Jalgaon, media persons etc were present. One lecture on rooftop water harvesting and
its potential were delivered by JalaSRI Team.
63 ‘Jalayukta Shivar’ Programme (JalaSRI 2-25, June 2016)
Activity Title: Third Party Evaluation for the activities undertaken for ‘Jalayukta Shivar’
Programme in North Maharashtra Region
Conducted by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
As a third party evaluator for the assessment of work done under Jalyukta Shivar
Abhiyan which is a flagship program of Government of Maharashtra, JalaSRI worked
extensively and intensively. JalaSRI was offered third party evaluation job by the District
Administrator, Jalgaon that was to be completed in a very short span of time, which was
successfully completed in 23 days (02/06/2016 to 25/06/2016). In this period 736 water
conservation activities were evaluated. All data were computerized and all activities were
tagged using GIS.
64 Blood Donation Camp (CATC), Faizpur 17-06-2016
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised a blood donation camp at CATC Faizpur on 17
June 2016 for the cadets participated in camp. In this blood donation camp 12 SD and 2
SW with one teacher from the NCC unit M. J. college donated blood.
65 Tree Plantation 01-07-2016
105 SD and 40 SW cadets with 3 teachers of the NCC unit of the college actively
participated in Tree Plantation activity organised by 18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon on 01
July 2016. They have planted 100 trees in the college and outside college and pledged to
water these plants regularly.
66 Tree Plantation 01-07-2016
Tree plantation at Asankhede Forest (JalaSRI 01-07-2016)
Organised by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon in
association with Pachora Forest Range, Jalgaon
Tree plantation program was organised by JalaSRI and Pachora Forest range to support
Maharashtra Government’s 1 crore tree plantation program on 1st July 2016. Two team
members from JalaSRI along with 45 students have planted trees at Asankheda Forest in
Pachora range. Mr. S. R Patil (Forest Range Officer, Pachora) guided students about tree
plantation activity. Mr. Kishor Patil (MLA, Pachora) praised student’s participation in
such activity.
67 Environment Day Rally 5-07-2016
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has coordinated an Environment Day Rally on 5 July 2016.
60 SD and 30 SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it.
The Rally started from MNC Jalgaon and ended at DSP Chowk, Jalgaon.
68 Blood Donation (NSS 23-07-2016)
The NSS unit of the college in collaboration with Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi,
Jalgaon, organized a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on 23-07-2016. 97
students of the college donated blood during this camp. Three teachers were also present
on this occasion.
69 Blood Donation Camp 2-08-2016
The NCC unit of the college in collaboration with NSS unit of the college and
Madhavrao Golwalkar Raktpedhi, Jalgaon, has organised a Blood Donation Camp in M.
J. College, Jalgaon on 2 August 2016. The students of the college donated the blood
during this camp in great numbers. 3 NCC officers were present to coordinate the
activity. 28 SD and 5 SW cadets donated the blood.
70 Kargil Vijay Diwas 14-08-2016
18 MAH BN NCC, Jalgaon has organised Kargil Vijay Diwas in collaboration with Yuva
Shakti Foundation, Jalgaon on 14 Aug 2016. 75 SD and 35 SW cadets with 3 teachers
from the college unit participated in it.
71 Training on Water conservation: Technical and practical learning in context to Jala
Yukta Shivar (JYS) Scheme
Conducted by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
During 2016-17, JalaSRI offered technical training to the ground level executives of
different departments who are working for Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan in three districts viz.,
Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar on 'Water conservation: technical and practical learning in
context to Jalyukta Shivar'. One of the members of JalaSRI was appointed as honorary
advisor for the executives of Jalyukta Shivar in three districts.
The JYS training for Jalgaon forest division was organized from 19th
September 2016 to
30th
September 2016 in which 135 participants from Pachora, Chalisgaon, Erandol,
Parola, Muktainagar, Vadode, Jalgaon and Jamner range were trained. Similar training
was organized for Yawal forest division from 12th
October 2016 to 15th
October 2016 in
which 70 participants were trained from Yawal, Raver, Chopda, Vaizapur, Karjana and
Devjhiri forest range.
In Dhule, 116 forest officials were trained for three days (02nd
January 2017 to 04th
January 2017). A one day training was organized for Dhule Zilla Parishad and water
resource department on 23rd
January 2017 where 40 participants were benefitted from
JYS training.
A one day training was organized at Nandurbar Collector Office on 7th
April 2017 where
229 participants from Agriculture, Forest, Zilla Parishad, Jalsampada, Jalsandharan,
Panchayat, District level officers, NGO were imparted training.
72 Air force Day 08-10-2016
The college NCC unit has celebrated Air Force Day on 08 October 2016 in M. J. College,
Jalgaon. On this occasion Vice Principal and other dignitaries were present. SUO Dinesh
Sapkale was felicitated at the hands of Mr. N. V. Bharambe, Vice Principal, Arts Faculty,
M. J. College, Jalgaon. 150 SD and 50 SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC
unit participated in it.
73 International mental health day poster competition (08-10-2016)
On the occasion of International mental health day a poster competition was organized by
Ojaswini department of Fine Arts, M. J. College and mental health centre of Jalgaon on
08-10-2016. A total of 95 students and 6 teachers were participated in this event.
74 Field excursion for biodiversity at PAL Forest:
Students of M. J. College, were Guided by the officers of department of Forest (Govt. of
India) on 9-10-2016 in WAGHZIRA AND AMBAPANI Forest tour to sensitize student
about the biodiversity of the reason. Total 97 students and 3 teachers were present in this
activity.
75 Soil and Water Survey in different villages (JalaSRI 15-16, October 2016)
Organised by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
The soil and water samples from Jalke, Gadegaon and Bhadli were collected on 15th
October 2016 and on 16th
October 2016 from Jalke, Pathri and Samner. Soil samples
were collected from five different agriculture fields and water samples from five different
sources including open well, bore well, household container, hand pump, public water tap
etc. The location (latitude and longitude) of all collected samples were recorded using
GPS instruments.
76 Health, Sanitation, Hygiene and Agriculture Survey in different villages (JalaSRI
15-16, October 2016)
Organised by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
The primary data on sanitation, health and agriculture status was collected by conducting
surveys in Jalke, Gadegaon, Bhadli, Pathri and Samner using closed ended schedule. The
survey was conducted in Bhadli and Gadegaon on 15th
October 2016 and in Jalke, Pathri
and Samner on 16th
October 2016. The survey was conducted on a sample basis. In all 65
questionnaires were filled from Gadegaon and Jalke, 110 from Pathri and Samner and
210 from Bhadli. For this activity six teachers and 18 students actively participated. Main
issues of sanitation, health and agriculture issues of these villages were identified through
this survey and was helpful in situation analysis of the village for further development.
77 Street plays for awareness on Health, Sanitation, Hygiene and Agriculture issues
(JalaSRI 24-26, October 2016)
Organised by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
In all, five street plays were arranged in Bhadli, Gadegaon, Jalke, Pathri and Samner (one
in each village). The street plays provided information to villagers about health,
sanitation, hygiene and agriculture in a very lucid and interesting manner. The street
plays were conducted on 24th
October 2016 in Jalke, Pathri and Samner and on 26th
October 2016 in Bhadli and Gadegaon. The villagers turned out in very large numbers.
Around 225 villagers participated in Gadegaon, 200 villagers participated in Samner, 175
villagers participated in Pathri, villagers participated 150 in Bhadli and 125 villagers
participated in Jalke.
78 Swachhata Abhiyaan 20-11-2016
The movement started in the early morning at 7:00 am. All Rotaractors were ready with
their brooms for this noble cause at Dana Bazaar, Jalgaon. Garbage was collected by
Municipality van. Project was honored with the presence of health minister of Jalgaon.
He suggested everyone to avoid use of plastic bags. Thus, project was successful.
79 AIDS Rally (NSS 01-12-2016)
On the occasion of ‘International AIDS Day’, a rally was organized on 1-12-2016. The
motive of the rally was to make people aware of AIDS disease and preventive measures
to be taken. Another aim of the rally was to remove superstitions and myths related to
‘AIDS’ from the minds of people. A total of 183 students and 3 teachers were
participated in this rally.
80 Navy Day 04-12-2016
The college NCC unit has celebrated Navy Day on 04 December 2016 in M. J. College,
Jalgaon. On this occasion, Principal and other dignitaries were present. 150 SD and 50
SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit participated in it. Commander
Shridhar More guided the participants.
81 Blood Donation Camp 9-12-2016
The NCC unit of the college, in collaboration with NSS unit of the college and HDFC
Bank, Jalgaon, has organised a Blood Donation Camp in M. J. College, Jalgaon on 9
December 2016. The students of the college in great numbers donated the blood during
this camp. 3 NCC officers were present to coordinate the activity and 25 SD and 3 SW
cadets donated the blood.
82 Swachha Bharat Abhiyan (NSS 20-12-2016)
‘Jalgaon Municipal Corporation’ and ‘North Maharashtra University’ organized a cleanliness
drive in the city on 20-12-2016. Plastic, scraps and other such garbage was collected and
disposed. Some of the major routes in the city were cleaned under this drive. 171 students
from college participated and contributed to the cause.
83 Swachha Bharat Abhiyan 20-12-2016
The college NCC unit organised Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan in M. J. College on 20
December 2016. 140 SD and 55 SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit
participated in it and cleaned the college campus.
84 Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan 20-12-2016
Rotaract Club of M. J. College, Jalgaon promoted Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan on Swachhata
Abhiyaan Divas at Chitra Chowk by cleaning every nook and corner there. Garbage
gathered by rotaractors was collected by Municipal Vehicle later. Overall it was a project
supporting Clean and Fresh India.
85 Anti Rabies Vaccination Camp 25-12-2016
On the Christmas day, Rotaract Club of M. J. College, Jalgaon decided to have an Anti-
rabies Camp for dog to provide them free vaccination. Nearly 100 dogs were given free
vaccination and the injections were given by Dr. Pankaj Rajput and Dr. Jay Rajput.
86 Organ Donation Camp: Awareness and Pledge 30-12-2016
The college NCC unit organised Organ Donation Camp: Awareness and Pledge in
collaboration with Gandhian Studies Centre in M. J. College on 30 December 2016. Ms.
Mira Kumari, Sneh Bandhan Trust, Mumbai guided the cadets in the presence of
principal of the college, Dr. Uday Kulkarni. 140 SD and 55 SW cadets with 3 teachers
from the college NCC unit participated in it and decided to spread the message in the
society. The students of the Gandhian Studies Centre have also performed a street play on
this occasion in the campus of the college.
87 Cashless Transaction 09-01-2017
The college NCC unit organised Cashless Transaction Awareness programme in
collaboration with Jalgaon Janta Sahakari Bank, Jalgaon in the old conference hall of M.
J. College on 09 January 2017. On this occasion the resource person Mr. Rajesh Mahajan,
IT Manger of the bank guided the students about the cashless transactions. 140 SD and 50
SW cadets with 3 teachers from the college NCC unit were present for the programme.
88 Free Medical Checkup Camp 27-01-2017
Free Medical Checkup camp was organized by Rotaract Club of M.J. College
(Commerce) during Annual Gathering Chaitanya 2017. Dr Darshana Shah, Dr. Anand
Dashputre and Dr. Sushilkumar Rane were invited for the camp. Free medical and eye
check up of approximately 150 students were conducted.
89 Poster presentation on social issues (Sociology 2-4, February 2017)
On the occasion of Marathi Sociology Conference, a poster presentation competition on
social issues was organized on 2-2-2017. This competition was judged by Additional
Police Inspector Mr. Sagar Shimpi and District women and child welfare officer
Mr.Ramesh Katkar.
90 Third Party Evaluation for the activities undertaken for ‘Jalayukta Shivar’
Programme in North Maharashtra Region
Conducted by: JalaSRI, Watershed Surveillance and Research Institute, Jalgaon
A third party assessment of work done under Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan program in Dhule
district (Dhule and Sakri taluka) and Nandurbar district (Nandurbar, Shahada and Akrani
taluka) of North Maharashtra was carried out by the JalaSRI. The third party assessment
work was offered to JalaSRI by the district administration of Dhule and Nandurbar which
was successfully completed in a short span of time. The survey work of Dhule taluka was
completed in just 05 days (from 21st February 2017 to 25
th February 2017) and of Sakri
taluka in 03 days (from 08th
March 2017 to 10th
March 2017). In this period 59 and 65
water conservation activities in Dhule and Sakri taluka were evaluated, respectively. In
Nandurbar district, 213 activities in Shahada taluka were assessed from 03rd
may 2017 to
06th
May 2017, 234 activities in Akrani taluka from 07th
May 2017 to 11th
May 2017 and
162 activities in Nandurbar taluka from 16th
May 2017 to 18th
May 2017.
The collected data were digitized and analyzed in computer. Every single activity was
geo-tagged and mapped. The analyses and observations for each activity were presented
before the district collector, DSAO and all district and taluka level executives of all
concerned departments.
91 Organisation of Water conservation awareness week (JalaSRI 16-22,March 2017)

Resources Department, Jalgaon
The activity was organized from 16 March 2017 to 22 March 2017. JalaSRI actively
participated in water conservation week with local administration. On this occasion
Hon’ble collector, Mr. Kishor Raje Nimabalkar was present as chair person for
workshop. Dr. Swati, Director JalaSRI, delivered a lecture on water conservation in dry
lands. Many students and faculty members were present on this day
The handmade poster exhibition was organised. The street play was organised to have
awareness regarding water conservation at ‘Bhauche Udyan’.
92 Road Safety 11-04-2017
The NCC unit of the college organised Road Safety and Road Trafficking Awareness
programme in collaboration with NSS unit of the college in front of the entrance gate of
M. J. College on 11 April 2017. On this occasion students were guided about the road
safety. 40 SD and 30 SW cadets and 50 NSS volunteers with 3 teachers from the college
NCC & NSS unit participated in it.
