Sir, This is to inform that the Director, Staff Inspection Unit (SIU), Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, New Delhi has forwarded a report on the staffing study of the KYIC vide letter No.32/1/2006-SIU dated 11.01.2012. A copy of the report was made available to Hon'ble Expert Member (HRD) on 29.03.2012 in the Commission meeting. The SIU has assessed the posts based on the study report related to 2008- 09 and since then there has been substantial change and increased in the quantum of work. Certain new programmes have also been taken up which require man power support. The SIU report was placed before Commission in its meeting held on 29.03.2012 and Commission has decided that Hon'ble Expert Member (HRD) and Hon'ble Expert Member (S&T) should review the requirement of manpower for each Directorates, Cells in Central Office and ZO/SO/DO/MDTCs in field Offices. Keeping all these aspects in to consideration, the Hon'ble Expert Member (HRD) desires to have comments of the concerned Head of the Directorates in the Central Office and Field Offices so that their views are also before him for enabling to reach appropriate and just conclusion. In view of the above, all concerned are therefore requested to send their information/ comments in the following prescribed format within 7 days, so that information is made available before next Commission meeting. Sir,

This is to inform that the Director, Staff Inspection Unit (SIU), Ministry ofFinance, Department of Expenditure, New Delhi has forwarded a report on thestaffing study of the KYIC vide letter No.32/1/2006-SIU dated 11.01.2012. Acopy of the report was made available to Hon'ble Expert Member (HRD) on29.03.2012 in the Commission meeting.

The SIU has assessed the posts based on the study report related to 2008-09 and since then there has been substantial change and increased in thequantum of work. Certain new programmes have also been taken up whichrequire man power support.

The SIU report was placed before Commission in its meeting held on29.03.2012 and Commission has decided that Hon'ble Expert Member (HRD) andHon'ble Expert Member (S&T) should review the requirement of manpower foreach Directorates, Cells in Central Office and ZO/SO/DO/MDTCs in field Offices.
