Report - Awareness Program on Dengue Fever An awareness program on Dengue fever was inaugurated by Dr. Anna Balaji, Professor& Principal, Dr. Shanmugam. R, Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Dr. K. Saravanakumar, NSS- Officer(NSS-P9) along with the program co-ordinators Dr. MadhuriKadiyala, Associate Professor and Ms. Jaya Preethi P, Assistant Professor. The program was conducted in association with NSS Unit of Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy on 30.11.2019 at Ramireddypalli, ChandragiriMandal. The program emphasized on the preventive measures, precautions, epidemiology, causes, treatment and herbal remedies to be followed by the people so that the disease can be cured at an earlier stage. Awareness was created by distributing pamphlets to the people of the village and explaining about the causes, symptoms and diagnosis of the fever. The program was conducted at primary school and the students of I Pharm D and I M Pharm created awareness to the village people by explaining about the disease in detail and the precautions to be taken to prevent the attack of the disease. Further emphasis on sanitation and cleanliness was also given by the students. The program increase the awareness level of the students of Government Primary school at Ramireddypalli by the faculty and students of Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy where sanitation, cleanliness and preventive measures were highlighted and the program was completed successfully.
