HMV Evaluation

A few weeks ago we were set the task to make an HMV bag for the

shops. In the making of my back I used Photoshop to edit the images

that would be put on it.

On the program I mainly used the magic wand tool to outline the

pieces of the photo that I wanted and then cropped them out. This

allows you to put different pictures onto background without having

the original one.

I used a few tools that I have never used before that really helped

me out with the project. One of those tools was the colour overlay.

This really helped me portray my images in different ways like; being

able tochange the colour of a picture you have got from the internet

to whatever you want. It also allows you to put different effects on

the pick like shadow and if you have highlighted a work you can

make it look 3d and make it different shapes.

My Bag:

I think that my bag has a few good strengths. One of the main

ones in my opinion is the look of it. I think I did quite well with

the layout of the bag. However there are a few weaknesses. I

think that the actual practicality of the bag is not that great.

The bottom of it is not sealed and there is a hole at the bottom.

That is something that I could improve on if I was to do it again.

My overall opinion is that I am quite pleased with my bag. I

believe that it is mainly the looks of it that I am most pleased

with. Also having a well-known artist and company to motivate

me.On the other hand the actual construction of it could be

improved because I dint use a variety of colours which may not

appeal to people who don’t like purple.

If I did this project again I would definitely design it in a similar

way to how I have now. The one thing I would defiantly change

is the bag itself. I would also have made my design more

complex as my skills in photo shop have developed and I now

know more that the basics, this would have helped me because

I could of achieved a higher mark due to my Photoshop skills.
