Activities of the third term.

After the second meeting in Spain, the teachers who visited the Spanish school organized a presentation of

their visit in Spain. After the presentation the teachers of our school talked about the activities of the second

semester and distributed the work to as much classes as possible.

1. Exchange of letters and IDs.

In this activity took part 59 students of the 3rd grade and 61 students of the 6th grade. The students of the 3rd grade

created their personal ID in English and the students of the 6th grade wrote letters in English in order to

communicate with their mates from Turkey. It was a nice and easy activity for our students.

2. Students’ council.

In the beginning the teachers of our school spoke to their students about the benefits of Democracy. Then we did

elections in every class in order to elect one representative for our students’ council. After that our students wrote about the school of their dreams and

teachers gathered their ideas in a small text. Lastly, we organized a visit to our town hall were the students’

council took place.

Teachers were astonished with the ideas of their students and students enjoyed the possibility we gave them to speak in public about their dreams. This activity was innovative for our school as we do not have students’

councils in primary schools in Greece.

3. Spanish innovative teaching method.

Concerning this activity we decided to do three things. The first was to read poems, myths, fairy tales before our

lessons. The second was to listen to music and dance during the breaks. The third to do Brain Gym before and

during our lessons.Listening to music, dancing and reading was something with which our students were familiar with and they did it easily. Brain gym was something really new for them and they laughed at it in the beginning. Later on they became familiar with the brain gym activities and they enjoyed the

procedure. Apart from this brain gym had a positive impact in their behaviour and their cooperation with the other

students and their teacher.

4. Web site

We didn’t update the web site of our project yet, because of technical problems but we will do it after our

meeting in Latvia.

5. European garden

Our students take care of their plants.Some of the seeds became beautiful plants and we hope

to see them grow more.During Eastern students took the plants at home to take care of them as our school was closed. This made our

students feel responsible and created a beautiful relationship with their plants.

In the end of the school year students will take their plants at home and they will brink them back in September.
