Political priorities
• We will remodel or rebuild every library in every community in Manchester
• We will continue to invest in Library services to improve life long learning opportunities for all Manchester residents
• We will ensure where possible the Council extends library opening-hours
• Five-year programme of capital investment called Renewal
• Funding from the City Council and innovative partnerships
• Integrated whole City approach• Co-location strategy: colleges, adult
learning centres, academy schools, supermarkets, leisure centres, children’s centres, health centres.
