Agricultural biogas plant
Agricultural biogas plant in Kostkowice is an experimental unit, which was built mainly for the scientific purposes.
In this unit many vvarious of substrates are used, but they are not a competition for a food production.
Studies are also covered by possibilities of using a solid and liquid digestate – as fertilizer to fertilize the fields and ponds, as the ground in gardening and horticulture, as bedding for animals and for the fields irrigation.

In connection with the decrement in income from agricultural production caused by: • more and more expensive products for an agricultural production (seeds, artificials, fuels),
• stagnation of agricultural products prices,
it was necessary to diversificate an agricultural production, which included:• implementing of energetic crops,
• production of renewable energy from agricultural sources.

Summary
• Agricultural biogas plant in Kostkowice was built do conduct various research, including empirical development of recipes for substrates,
• Main substrate for a Agricultural biogas plant is a by-product of an animal production (manure, liquid manure) and biofuels production (gliceryne, rape pressed cake).
• To improve an energetic, ekological and economical effectivness of an agricultural farm it is neacessary to diversificate production, mainly in the direction of usung renewable energy sources.

Summary• Biodiesel production form rape seeds leads to using cheaper and ecologically clean fuel for
agricultural tractors.
• Installation of agricultural biogas plant brings tangible ecological results, affecting improving of climate conditions.
• The current directive on the taxation of energy is not directed against climate insulating and discriminates renewable sources.
• Amended taxes will depend on the amount of used energy and from the fuel efficiency and CO2 emission.
• Good thing is that the European Parliament has already accepted the draft of rules of amendment for the energy taxation adapted to the obligations of the European Union on climate changes.
