• Patient usually recovers

• The most common cause of ARF!

• Reversible tubular injury

• Many causes: ischemic (shock), toxic (drugs)

• Most patients recover

• Hyaline thickening of arterial walls

• Leads to mild functional impairment

• Rarely fatal
