Lucky 8 and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network are currently casting for its second season of “Released.” This innovative documentary series focuses on the challenges faced by inmates being released from prison, their transition back into the outside world, and the lives of their family and friends who have been coping in their absence. This is something that affects everyone. Has your life and your family's lives been affected by their absence? Are you struggling with how to move forward, and what the future will be with them back in your lives? We are looking for new stories and unique perspectives. If you or someone you know has a loved one that's about to be released from prison, we would love to hear your story. The Returning Citizen must have a release date between August 10th and September 30th of this year, and must be completing a sentence of 5 years or longer.
