This gives new team members two weeks to fundraise before the their bank night on either June 7th or June 9th. Team captains should have their registra- tion sheets and $10 fee into Judy Burke by May 1st. Even easier, register the paperless way - ON LINE! Whenever there is a at least one person who has filled out a registration sheet and paid their fee, their team is automatically put on our Kentville Relay Website! Go to www.cancer.ca/relay pick Nova Scotia from the drop down tab and thenclick on Kentville's Relay; your team will be listed there.You will be asked for your $10 fee via a secure transaction using your credit card. These meals are provided for Nova Scotians who need a place to stay while undergoing can- cer treatments in Halifax. The Lodge That Gives $100 will support the cost of a one-night stay at The Lodge That Gives. Nova Scotia's Lodge is the only Lodge in Canada that is solely funded through donor donations. $280 will cover the cost of one day for a child to attend Camp Goodtime, a week-long sum- mer camp offered to 125 Nova Scotian kids who are currently fighting their own battle with cancer. $500 will support the cost of providing support of providing support to a Nova Scotian cancer patient through CancerConnection. CancerCon- nection puts Nova Scotians diagnosed with can- cer in touch with people similar to them from across the province or throughout Canada. 1- 888-939-3333. next time someone asks where does all this money go, just remind them of a few of these facts: Questions about cancer: www.cancer.ca or call 1.888.939.3333 Host a Bake Sale/ muffin sale/cookie sale or a NO-bake sale- (where coworkers pay so they don't have to bake goodies.) Brown Bag Lunch Day- everyone brings in his or her own lunch and donates the money they would have spent to your Relay For Life funds. Clean up with a neighbourhood business district/office car wash Car Window Washes- wash car windows at fast food restau- rants and have a donation can at the exit Casual Day/Dress Up Day - employees pay to dress accordingly Change jar - Keep this in high traffic areas. Drawings for a donated item from a local business (dinner for 2, movie tickets, etc.) Lunch time barbeque or sell turkey burgers/ pizza - use your imagination Matching Funds - Ask your CEO/President to match the total raised by your team or to be the leading donor for your team. Publicize your team's participation in the company newsletter and on intranet lists.
