A relaxing massage, with major health benefitsAt the very heart of the Adjustamatic story, we find the

NHC Cyclo-Therapy effect.

Massage itself is as old as any form of human therapy.

Generally safe, non-invasive and instantly soothing,

it’s not surprising there have been, over the centuries,

numerous attempts to devise patented mechanical or

automatic approaches to provide the benefits without

the special skills, time and sheer physical work

massage tends to demand.

The machine age opened up a variety of new

opportunities in massage, but most of these systems

were seriously flawed. Whilst they delivered the

massage energy by various means, all involved some

form of pounding, often piston-like or hammering,

action.

While this may have apparent effect in stimulating

muscle and tissue, the jolting and rattling side-effects

often cancel out any real benefit.

In total contrast,

NHC Cyclo-Therapy, which

is incorporated into our

products, works on a radically

different principle. It uses a

unique elliptical movement

operating like a gyroscope

and creates a soothing

cyclodial (instead of jarring)

vibration. This is achieved by the fact the multi-

directional energy waves are moving left/right, up/

down whilst rotating on a constant basis.

Arthritis and back pain

Arthritic pain of the joints has

been shown to be reduced

considerably – and in some cases

eliminated, by the application

of vibration therapy. One of the

causes of arthritic-like conditions

is the build-up of metabolic waste

material in the synovial fluid,

resulting in irritation and increased

swelling/inflammation in and

around the joint. Following the

application of cyclodial vibration,

joint pain and swelling is reduced,

resulting in improved joint and

general mobility. Cyclodial

vibration therapy will not cure the

underlying cause of the arthritis

but can help relieve the symptoms

such as pain, reduced joint

movement and mobility.

Circulatory problems –

Oedema/swelling

Oedema is an abnormal

accumulation of fluid beneath the

skin or in one or more cavities of

the body that produces swelling

with peripheral lower limb oedema

being the most common, which

results from water retention. The

vibration you receive whilst relaxing

in an Adjustamatic bed or chair

penetrates the vascular cells and

activates a number of chemical

reactions, including the release of

nitric oxide, a muscle relaxer. This

relaxes the muscle walls of the

blood and lymph vessels, increases

the diameter of the veins and

arteries which results in dilation

and greater blood flow.

Respiration – COPD

(Chronic Obstructive

Pulmonary Disease),

Bronchiectasis, Asthma. The positional benefits of our

products may help alleviate

the secondary symptoms of

some respiratory conditions by

aiding muscle relaxation and

help mobilise chest congestion

to improve the process of chest

clearance.

Wounds

Cyclodial vibration improves

circulation which increases the

delivery of healthy oxygenated

blood and the removal of waste

products and toxins. This can

improve the healing of soft tissue

injury and wounds like leg ulcers.

Increased circulation stimulates

the production processes involved

in healing and regeneration of cells

and soft tissue.

Nervous system

Tension, anxiety and insomnia often

occur with muscle tightness or

tension. This can be a severe and

constant problem for sufferers of

cerebral palsy, post stroke victims

and following spinal injuries.

Muscle tightness or spasm can

result in reduced mobility and

pain. Reducing muscle tightness

or spasticity by using NHC Cyclo-

Therapy will improve joint mobility

and movement as well as lead to

Q I’m a bad sleeper and often

find myself waking up in the

you recommend?

A If you find yourself waking up

in the night or struggling to get

to sleep in the first place, don’t

just lie there. If after 20 minutes

you’re still awake, adjust your
