Reid Donovan is the Regional Director MEP of Hyder Consulting Middle East, a multi-national advisory and design consultancy. Reid is a key member of the Property Sector Management team with responsibility for the leadership of the MEP business across the Middle East region. With offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, KSA, Bahrain and with Global Excellence Centers (GEC’s) in the Philippines, India and Jordan, Reid is responsible for over 150 MEP professionals operating across the region.

Reid has practiced within the industry for over 20 years and his experience, chartered engineer status and university education allows him to promote building services design and operate at the forefront of the industry. Reid has been based permanently in Dubai, UAE for the past 7 years and is an integral part of the local Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) UAE Committee.

Reid has been involved in the design and construction phases of many renowned buildings and large scale developments. He has worked on many high profile projects covering all industry sectors jointly with some of the world’s leading architects and clients based in the UK, USA, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Specialising in project design delivery his breadth of his experience covers all of the various building and development types including retail, hotels, office headquarters, schools, colleges, large scale residential developments, museums, heritage centres and mixed use developments. Before relocating from his London base over 7 years ago, the focus had been on super high rise overseas developments and luxury hotels in countries including China, Morocco, Caribbean, Panama, Korea, Russia, Egypt and the UAE.

Reid gained his global MEP design delivery and management experience working for major design consultancies including WSP Middle East, Arup, Buro Happold and WS Atkins.
