AnyregistrationtoLaVerticaleoftheEiffel®ToweroftheEcoTrailParisIle-de-France®2020impliesthetacitacceptanceofthefollowingrules:

1EVENT

TheVerticaloftheEiffelTower®isatimedracewhoseobjectiveisthecompleteascentofthefirst2levelsoftheEiffelTower,i.e.665stepstoclimbforapositivealtitudedifferenceof116meters.

TheeventwilltakeplaceonWednesday,March11,2020between8:10pmand10:20pmin3stages:

- 1stqualifyinground- 2ndqualifyinground- Final

Pourqualifications:

Eachparticipantwillstartindividuallyinthemannerofatimetrialaccordingtoanorderestablishedbytheorganization.

Thetimesofthefirstandsecondroundsarecombinedtoestablishareferenceranking,thebasisforqualificationforthefinal.

Forthefinal:

Attheendofthequalifyinground,thetop10womenand20menwillbeabletocompeteinthefinal.

Thefinalwillbeheldinthepursuitformat.Theathletewiththebestcumulativetimeinthe2qualifyingheatswillstartfirstwiththeleadoverthesecond,andsoon.

2PARTICIPATION

TheVerticaloftheEiffelTower®has131participantsdistributedasfollows:

-40eliterunnersfromtheworldofrunning(ascentraces,"verticalkm"Trail,Trail,roadrace,trackrace...)=>designatedintheHatAregulation

-81runnersdrawnatrandomatthecloseofthepre-registrationfortherace=>designatedintheHatBrules

Thecopyofthelicence(FFA,FSCF,FSGT,UFOLEP)2019-2020oramedicalcertificatewiththemention"Nocontraindicationtocompetitivesport"datingfromlessthanoneyear(thereforeafter11March2019)isrequiredforfinalvalidationoftheregistration(seeChapter7).

MANDATORY

NootherlicenceorcertificateoflicencewillbeacceptedafterJanuary31,2020.Oncethisdocumenthas been validated by the organization, a confirmation email will be sent to confirm the finalregistration.

Oncethedateof31January2020haspassedorwithoutacknowledgementofreceiptofthedocumentinquestion,theregistrationwillbecancelledandwillnotgiverisetoanyrefundofcommitmentfees.

Tobevalid,themedicalcertificatemustincludethementionof"nocontraindicationtothepracticeofcompetitivesport"or"nocontraindicationtothepracticeofrunningincompetition".

Any incomplete application form will be rejected. The commitment fees include all the servicesdescribedintheseregulations.Anacknowledgementofreceiptissentbyemail,andconfirmationofregistrationscanalsobemadeontheracewebsite.

8CANCELLATIONOFAREGISTRATIONTOLAVERTICALEDELATOUREIFFEL®

Inthecaseofcancellation,allthecommitmentfeesforpre-registration(€10)and/orfinalregistration(€60)deductedfromtheapplicationfeewillbepaidtoacharitydefinedlaterandwillinnocasegiverisetoarefund.

InordertoavoidfallingobjectsduringtheascentoftheEiffelTower,theorganizationprohibitsanyotherobjectorequipment than thosementionedabove (Telephone, camera, cameraare strictlyprohibited).

Acheckoftheequipmentwillbecarriedoutjustbeforethestartofeachrunner.

10CHASUBLES,BIBSANDBRACELETS

A chasuble, a bib and a bracelet will be given to participants upon presentation of an identitydocument.

ThebibswillbecollectedunderthetentlocatedintheEmileAnthoineSportsCentreonWednesday11March2020between18:00and19:30.

Thechasuble,bibandbraceletmustbekeptforthedurationoftherace.TheyareusedaspassesattheentrancetotheSouthPillaroftheEiffelTowerandforpost-racerefuelling.

The bibmust be visible at all times and in full throughout the race. It must therefore always bepositionedaboveanyclothing.Thenameandlogoofthepartnersmustnotbemodifiedorhidden.

11RUNNERBRIEFING

AbriefingsettingouttheraceandsafetyinstructionswillbeorganisedonWednesday11March2020at7.30pmattheEmileAnthoineStadium(sameplaceasthehandingoverofthechasuble,bibandchip).

Thepresenceofallrunnersismandatory.

12CHIPSFORTIMING

When the bibs are handed out, an electronic chip is given individually to each runner to allowtimekeeping.Thismustbeplacedasstipulatedinthetechnicalinstructions.Eachrunnerisresponsiblefortheproperuseofthechip.Therunnermaynotbetimedinthefollowingcases:

• notwearingthechip,

• loseofthepuce,

• chipdegradation,

• wearingthenon-compliantchip.

13RUNNERBAGSFORTHEFINISHLINE

Eachcompetitorbringshisown30-litrebagforpersonaluse(changeofclothes,toiletries...).Aself-adhesivelabelplacedintheracenumberenvelopemustbeaffixedtothebag.

• Aftercompletingitwiththeitemsofhischoiceandclosingit,hecandropitoffbetween6:00p.m.and7:45p.m.onWednesday,March11,2020attheCentreSportifEmileAnthoineintheplaceprovidedforthispurpose.Norunnerbagswillbeacceptedbytheorganizationoutsidethesehours.

• Thebagsare collectedat the sameplaceas thedrop-off. Thebagsaregiveneither to thecompetitorortorelatives,onlyonpresentationofthechasublewithbibandthebraceletoridentitycard.Thebagsarehandedoveruntilmidnightonthesameday.Beyondthistime,therunnermustpickuphisbaghimself, athisownexpense, from theorganization, at33 rueGénéralLeclercinIssy-les-Moulineaux(92130).

• Allbagsmustbecollectedfromtheorganisationwithinamaximumof15daysaftertheevent,afterwhichtimethecontentswillbedonatedtocharitableorganisations.

14SAFETYANDMEDICALASSISTANCE

Medicalteamswillbepresentatthefollowing34areasalongtheroute:square,1stfloorplatform,and2ndfloorplatform,intermediateplatformandtopoftheEiffelTower.The24firstaidstationsareintendedtoassistanypersonindangerwiththeorganisation'sownresourcesorundercontract.

Firstaiderswillalsobepresentonintermediatelevelsthroughouttheroute.

Arescueteam(pair)willbepositionedonWednesday,March11,2020from7:30pmto10:30pmintheGustaveEiffelroom.

Physiciansareentitledtoremovefromthetestanypersonwhoisunabletocontinuethetest.First-aidworkersareentitledtoevacuatebyanymeansattheirconveniencepersonstheyconsidertobeindanger.

Ifnecessary,forreasonsthatarealwaysintheinterestoftherescuedperson,thefirebrigadewillbecalledin.Atthattime,theOperationsDepartmentwilluseallappropriatemeans.Thecostsresultingfromtheuseoftheseexceptionalmeansshallbebornebytherescuedperson,whoshallalsoensurehisreturnfromthepointwherehehasbeenevacuated.Shewillthenbeabletosubmitafiletoherpersonalaccidentinsurance.

Any participant calling upon a doctor or first-aid attendant submits de facto to his authority andundertakestoaccepthisdecisions.

15TIMINGSTATIONANDREFUELLINGAREAS

Timingstationsaresetupatseveralpointsalongtheroute:Southdeparturepillar,1stfloorplatformand,2ndfloorplatform,intermediateplatformandtopoftheEiffelTower.

Onlyrunnerswearingavisiblebibnumberhaveaccesstothewaterpointarea.Thewaterpointareaislocatedatthetopoflevel2.Arefreshmentandanafter-racesnackintheformofabuffetareservedattheEmileAnthoineGymnasiumtoallparticipantstoLaVerticaledelatourEiffel®.

16TIMEBARRIERS

Inordertoguaranteethesafetyoftherunners,timebarriersestablishedonthetotalascenttimearesetupbytheorganisation:

Level1(330steps):8minutes

AnyrunnerwhoisoutoftheracewillnotbeabletocontinuehiscourseandwillhavetogodowntotheEiffelTowerSquarefollowingtheinstructionsoftheorganisation.

It ispossibleforparticipantsofLaVerticaledelatourEiffel®totakeashowerinParisattheEmileAnthoinesportscentre.

18ABANDONMENTANDREPATRIATION

Aparticipantwishingtowithdrawcankeephisbib,whichwillallowhimtoentertheEmileAnthoineSportsCentreinordertoobtainaccesstothebuffet.

Therepatriationtothesquaremustbedonebytheelevatorsandmustbedonewithrespectfortheotherparticipantsalwaysintheracebyfollowingtheinstructionsoftheorganization.

19PROCEDUREINCASEOFNEUTRALISATIONOFTHESTROKE

In the caseof an incidentduring theascentof theEiffel Tower,RaceHQwill take thedecision toneutralizetheraceandwillinformallmembersoftheorganizationpresentthroughoutthecourse.

TherunnersengagedinthestairswillbestoppedbythemembersoftheorganizationatthetimingmatandawaitinstructionsfromRaceHQ.

Whenthe incident isover,theracewillberestartedsimultaneouslyonthetimingmats locatedoneachplatform.

Themaximumcumulativetimeofthevariousstopsmaynotexceed1hour.Assoonasthistimehasbeenaccumulated,theorganisationwilltakethedecisiontostoptheraceandinformtherunners.ThelatterwillthenhavetoreturntotheGustaveEiffelroomfollowingtheorganisation'sinstructions.

20PENALISATION-DISQUALIFICATION

Startswillbegiveninthemannerofatimetrialaccordingtoanorderestablishedbytheorganisationandwill be communicated to the runners at the time of thewithdrawal of their race number.Aparticipant absent from the departure schedule indicated to him/her will automatically bedisqualifiedandwillnotbeentitledtoleaveatadifferentschedulethantheoneinitiallyestablished.

Controllersonthecourseareauthorisedtocheckthecompulsoryequipment,thegoodperformanceoftheraceand,moregenerally,compliancewiththerules(Goodvisibilityoftheracenumber,etc...)Itisstrictlyforbiddentocomeintophysicalcontact,inanyway,withanyothercompetitorontheentirecourse.Thedoublingofanyothercompetitormustonlybedonefromtheoutside.AnyfailuretocomplywiththeseruleswillbereportedtoRaceHQ,whichwillbethesolejudgeofthepenaltytobeimposedontherunner(timepenalty:5minutesperillegaloverrun/disqualification).

Anyrunnerwhoisnotinpossession,duringacontrolonthecourse,ofallhismandatoryequipmentwillbeimmediatelydisqualified,withoutanypossibilityofappealingagainstthisdecision.

Thedisplayorexhibitionofbrands,sponsorsorpartnersoutsidetheracevenueisstrictlyprohibitedwithintheEiffelTower,andtheorganiserisresponsibleforensuringthatthisruleisrespected.Failuretocomplywithitwillresultinimmediateandirremediabledisqualification.Inaddition,thecompetitorconcernedmaynotclaimtoregisterforfutureeditionsofLaVerticaledelatourEiffel®orthoseoftheEcoTraildeParisIledeFrance®.

Theeventjurymaydisqualifyacompetitorforanyseriousbreachoftherules,inparticularintheeventof:

• Wearingthenon-compliantbib,

• Failuretocomplywiththeinstructionsgivenbythecontrolroom,

• Failuretoassistacompetitorindifficulty,

• Displayandexhibition,inanyform,ofbrands,sponsorsorpartners,withintheEiffelTower,

• Carryingequipmentorobjects:ex:camera,telephone,camera,....

21RECLAMATIONS

They shall be admissible in writing within 15 minutes of the posting of the provisional results.

22ANTI-DOPINGCONTROL

Anycompetitormaybesubjectedtoananti-dopingtestuponarrivalofLaVerticalefromtheEiffelTower®.Refusaltosubmittoitresultsinimmediatedisqualification.Anypositivecontrolwillresultinlifelong exclusion from the events organised by SAS Eco-Trail Organisation.

23JURYOFTHEEVENT

Itiscomposedof:

• oftheorganizer,

• oftheracedirector,

• thecoordinatorresponsibleforsafety,

• oftheheadofthemedicalteam,

• thepersonsinchargeofthecontrolareasconcerned,

• as well as any competent person at the discretion of the President of the OrganisingCommittee. The jury is authorised to rule within the time limit compatible with therequirementsoftheraceonalldisputesordisqualificationsthathavearisenduringtherace.Decisionsarefinal.

24MODIFICATIONSOFTHECOURSE/CANCELLATIONOFTHEEVENT

Theorganizationreservestherighttomodifythecourseatanytime,withoutnotice.

Intheeventofbadweatherconditions,andforsafetyreasons,theorganisationreservestherighttocancel and/or stop the current race, or even to modify the event schedule. Departures may bepostponedbyamaximumoftwohours,afterwhichtheywillbecancelled.

Cancellation, postponement or modification of the race does not entitle you to any refund ofregistrationfees.

Any decisionwill be taken by a jury comprising at least the racemanager, the organiser and thecoordinatorresponsibleforsafetyaswellasanycompetentpersonatthediscretionofthePresidentoftheOrganisingCommittee.

Civilliability:Theorganisertakesoutcivilliabilityinsuranceforthedurationoftheevents.Thiscivilliability insurance covers the financial consequences of its liability, that of its employees andparticipants.

Individualaccident:Eachparticipantmusthaveanindividualaccidentinsurancepolicy.Suchinsurancemaybetakenoutwithanyorganisationoftheparticipant'schoice,andinparticularwiththeFrenchAthleticsFederation:http://www.athle.fr/

26RANKINGSANDAWARDS

Atrophyceremonywillbeheld intheGustaveEiffel loungetorewardthe3besttimes(men'sandwomen'srankings).A"Finisher"giftwillbegiventoeachparticipantwhoarrivesatthetopoftheEiffelTower,abuffetwillbeavailabletoparticipantsattheEmileAnthoineStadium(bibhandoverarea).

27SUPPORT

TheVerticaloftheEiffelTower®isanincentivetothepracticeofsportinitiatedaspartofthevaluesofsolidarityoftheEcoTraildeParisIledeFrance®,itseemednaturaltotheorganizationtoassociateassociationsworkingforthesamecauses.

Asaresult,itwasdecidedthattheorganisationwoulddonateallthesumsfromthepre-registrationsofpeoplewhohadnotbeendrawnatrandomtoacharity(afterdeductionoftheregistrationfee:1euro).

28IMAGERIGHTS

Byparticipating inLaVerticalede la tourEiffel®,eachparticipantexpresslyauthorisesSASEcoTrailOrganisation(oritssuccessorsintitle)touseorhaveusedorhaveusedorhavereproducedhisname,image,voiceandsportingperformanceaspartofLaVerticaledelatourEiffel®foranydirectuseorinaformderivedfromtheevent,onanymedium,worldwide,byallknownorunknownmeanstodate,and for the entire term of protection currently granted to such direct or derived operations bylegislativeorregulatoryprovisions,judicialand/orarbitraldecisionsofanycountryandbycurrentorfutureinternationalconventions,includinganyextensionsthatmaybemadetothatterm.

29PROTECTIONOFPERSONALDATA

ECOTRAILORGANISATIONisinvolvedintheprotectionofpersonaldataandundertakestoensurethesecurity and confidentiality of personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of theEuropeanParliamentandoftheCouncilof27April2016ontheprotectionofindividualswithregardtotheprocessingofpersonaldataandonthefreemovementofsuchdata(hereinafter"DGPS"), inparticularbytakingallnecessaryprecautionstopreventsuchdatafrombeingdistorted,damagedoraccessedbyunauthorizedthirdparties.WhenregisteringforasportingeventorganisedbyECOTRAILORGANISATION,theclientisinformedandacceptsthathispersonaldatamaybe:

- managementoftheinformationrelationshipwiththeparticipantbyemailand/orSMSconcerningthe event for which he/she has registered (confirmation of the correct consideration of theregistration, confirmation of the validation or refusal of the registration, information on thesportingevent,informationontheresults,etc).

RUNFORYOUusesandexploitsyourpersonaldataforthefollowingpurposes:- sending satisfaction surveys for scientific and statistical purposes (by means of surveys or

questionnaires);- statisticalstudies;- informationrelatingtotheoffersandactivitiesofECOTRAILORGANISATIONandother formsof

relatedservices;- sendingemailsorSMSmessagestoinformyouaboutsportingeventsthatmaybeofinteresttoyou

organisedbyECOTRAILORGANISATIONorathirdpartyorganiser;- shares data with our privileged partners (industry, media, institutions) for the purpose of

ECOTRAILORGANIZATIONanditssubcontractorRUNFORYOUmaysendyou,bymail,email,sms,telephone, information relating to theiroffersandservicessimilar to thoseyouhavepurchased,whichyouacknowledgeandaccept.

Youhavethepossibility,atanytimeandfreeofcharge,toobjecttothesecommercialprospectingmailingsundertheconditionsprovidedbelow.
