1. Tour Organization (Honu SUP GmbH) Honu SUP GmbH, in cooperation with local partners, is organized by SUP Tour Switzerland.

All tour events are based on the following regulations and must comply with all parts of it. The tour operator present at each event is responsible for enforcing the regulations.

Event categories must be clearly defined and followed in order to allow for transparent rankings throughout the year.

The event organizer is responsible for the online and onsite registrations.

4. Total Annual Rankings Total annual ranking points can be collected at all tour stops and partner events.

The following void results are available:

All results will be added together throughout the season and combined together for the championship. The Annual Championship Titles that will be awarded are as follows:

5. Registration Registration is organized by through the tour operator. For all races, we recommend using the online registration via www.sup-tour-schweiz.ch.

Should an event require cancelation due to unforeseeable circumstances (including withdrawal of an authorization of the municipality, cancellation of the race due to force majeure, etc.), there will be no refund of entry fees.

6. Annual Tour Pre-Registration Up until the 31. of May 2017 is it possible to Pre-Register for the Annual Tour. The Tour Pre-Registration includes all Events in the Annual Tour. A Goodybag with a value of CHF 50.00 will be prepared and waiting for each participant with a Tour Pre-Registeration.

6.1 Registration (Online) Online registration remains open up until 1 day before the race.

6.2 Registration (Onsite) Onsite registration is available until 90 minutes before the start of the event.

Onsite late registrations require a late starting fee of CHF 5.00.

Board Rentals

A limited number of SUP boards are available for Rental Onsite. Those can be rented for a race at a cost of CHF 20.00 for Fun-Boards or CHF 30.00 for Race-Boards.

SUP accessories (Leash, Restube, Swimming vest) can be rented for a fee of CHF 5.00 each (included with SUP board rental).

6.4 Starting Fee Refund In order to request a refund of a paid Starting Fee, it is necessary to provide a medical certificate stating that the participant was not able to participate on the event date. For participant who registered for the Annual Tour and missed more than 3 races, the starting fee will be refunded after the fourth race and upon presentation of the medical certificate.

7. Races

7.1 Schedule Race Schedules at each race location are different! Detailed programs are published on the tour webpage at: www.sup-tour-schweiz.ch.

7.2 Start Numbers It is mandatory for Start Numbers to be worn in a clearly visible and readable location.

In case a life jacket, water pack or similar equipment is worn, than it is required to wear a Lycra Jersey overtop of it with the Start Number attached to it and clearly visible. Lycra Jerseys are made available, but quantities may be limited. Lycra Jerseys are provided for the Race and must be returned after the Race finishes.

Should the Lycra Jersey not be returned due to loss or other reason, then a replacement fee of CHF 30.00 will be charged.

7.3 Timekeeping Timekeeping for the Race is done with The chip. The chip is located in the Lycra Jersey measures the time for each participant.

In the event of loss or lack of return of the chip, an amount of CHF 80.00 will be charged.

7.4 Racing Equipment Paddles: Only single-blade paddles are permitted for competition use.

Boards: Boards are required to conform to the defined measurements. Falling short of the minimum width of the board or exceeding the maximum board length is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Double-hull boards (for example catamaran) are not permitted.

Powering the board: Only human power is allowed. No external help is permitted. External help could be in the form of, but not limited to: engines, wind devices (for example sails) and the help of a second person a (except tandem and XXL-SUP in the fun category).

7.5 Start Signal Two minutes before the start: a triple horn / horn will sound.

One minute before the start: a double horn / horn will sound.

In the remaining sixty seconds it is possible for the Start Signal to be given at any time..

False Starts: False Start occur when one or more contestants begin the race before the Start Signal has been given. Repeated False Starts will result in disqualification

7.6 Drafting Drafting is allowed, but only in the class being competed in. Women and men are treated as separate categories. This rule prohibits drafting for women behind men, or vice versa, as well as Junior behind adults etc ..

7.7 Board contact ‘Well behaved’ Board contact is allowed. Willful obstruction like poking or locks are penalized and may result in disqualification.

7.8 Stand-UP Stand-up means Paddling Standing. In the event of a fall, it is possible to paddle briefly while sitting or kneeling. Should the sitting or kneeling last longer than five paddle strokes it will lead to disqualification from the Race.

7.9 Leash/vest On all events of the SUP Tour Schweiz a leash and swimming aid (Restube allowed) are required.

An exception applies to the (Biel / Thun) venues, which take place on rivers. Wearing a leash on watercourses is prohibited.

7.10 Finish Winning the race is determine by the chest that crosses the finish line first.

7.11 Disqualifications Disqualified participants will be notified by the escort boat and removed from the race. Each case of Disqualifications or Setback will be announced before the Prize Announcements.

7.12 Judging the Competition Each race will have three race marshals.

7.13 Protest In the case of a Protests, it can be submitted to the Race Judges up until 30 minutes before the Prize Announcements. Each protest will only be

considered once a fee of CHF 100.00 has been paid. On successful protest, the amount of CHF 100.00 will be refunded.

8. Doping Doping is contrary to the fundamental principles of sport and medical ethics and is therefore prohibited. Doping is the use of aids in the form of substances or methods that are potentially harmful to health and / or can enhance physical performance. Doping is also the presence of a prohibited substance in the body of an athlete or an athlete or a confirmation of their use or the use of them.

9. Media rights Media and copyright, including but not limited to images and video recordings, are the sole ownship of SUP Tour Schweiz, the Tour Operator.

10. Conditions of participation

10.1 Liability The tour organizer disclaims all liability. All participants contest the race at their own risk and must be privately insured against accidents. The Tour Operator, the event organizers and the sponsors disclaim all liability for participants and participation.

Participants agree they are voluntarily registering and taking part in the events. By registration, the participant excuses the organizer for responsibility and for damages of any kind. Participants agree not to hold the organizer, sponsors or their representatives liable for claims for damages or injuries of any kind that might be incurred by participation.

10.2 Security By agreeing to participate in the events, the participant declares to have the necessary physical and mental conditions for participation.

It is mandatory for participants of Races to wear a leash and a lifejacket or swimming help, (Restube allowed). Exceptions are races on rivers (Biel and Thun), in which wearing a leash is prohibited. Honu makes Lifejackets and aids available to participant for a fee of CHF 5.00.

Each participant is obliged to help other participants in distress.

10.3 Dates The participant agrees that the information referred to in the application may be used for the purposes of the event. The participant assures the accuracy of the information provided.

10.4 Regulation By submitting the registration, the participant agrees to have read and understood the regulations.
