With more than 3,300 members in 35 states, the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers is the largest state oil and gas association in the country representing independents.
w The Texas Alliance became a statewide organization in 2000 with the merger of two of the oldest oil and gas associations in the nation, the North Texas Oil and Gas Association and the West Central Texas Oil and Gas Association.
w The members of the Texas Alliance are the decision-makers in the oil and gas industry. For example, in a survey 47% say they are the owner of their company, 13% said they were co-owners and 15% said they were the CEO.
w 52% of Alliance members have been in business more than 30 years, and 29% said they had been in business 21 to 30 years.
w Three-out-of-four members are in the exploration & production side of the business. The remaining 25% is made up of drilling and well servicing contractors, service and supply companies, crude oil and natural gas purchasers, accountants, lawyers and bankers.
Members of the Texas Alliance are the decision makers in the oil and gas industry.
