Arunachal Pradesh attained its statehood on 20th February 1987. It
is situated in the North-Eastern part of India with 83743 sq. kms
area and has a long international border with Bhutan to the west
(160 km), China to the north and north-east (1,080 km) and
Myanmar to the east (440 km). It stretches from snow-capped
mountains in the north to the plains of Brahmaputra valley in the
south. Arunachal is the largest state area-wise in the north-east
region, even larger than Assam which is the most populous.
It is situated between latitude 26 30' N and 29 30 ' N and
longitude 91 30' E and 97 30' E. Itanagar is the capital of
Arunachal Pradesh and located at an altitude of 530 meters above
MSL. It is named after Itafort meaning fort of bricks built in 14th
centuryA.D.

BSNL Leased Line connectivity has been established
between 8 district headquarters and the State Head
Quarter (SHQ)
The 8 District headquarter (DHQ) – Yupia / Ziro / Daporijo
/ Along / Pasighat/ Khonsa/ Tezu / Roing .
5 district Head quarters (DHQ) are also connected with
SHQ through V- SAT connectivity. Ziro / Tawang/
Changlang / Anini/ Hawaii.
BSNL has issued demand note for 25 Block level offices
(BLO’s) for leased line connectivity for which money has
been released to BSNL.
80 % of the vertical connectivity is expected to be
completed by March 2011.

Fixed Timelines for e – enabling Identified Services in next one year
All the 200 CSC centre should be implemented successfully in the entire state.
All the CSC outlets should be registered and activated to start work with B2C(Business to Citizen), G2C(Govt. to Citizen) services for the citizen.
Training needs to be conducted for all the VLE (CSC operator) to understand and execute the system/software function correctly.
DPR for Dept. of Education, Social Welfare & Woman and Child development department, Urban development Department, Agriculture is ready and sent to respective departments.
The DPR of the MMPs once approved by SeMT(State e-Mission Team) can be send to Line Ministry for approval.
