- 3” grind, 5” inlay/overlay

MP 132.00 – 137.78 (5.8 miles)

- Left (“A”) Lane - 5” grind, 8” inlay/overlay

- Right (“B”) Lane – 3” grind, 5” inlay/overlay

Traffic Analysis – single lane conditions remain below

delay thresholds except during Memorial Day and Labor

Day weekends.

2. Temporary Crossover w/ Concrete Barrier $1.8M

– Exposure while placing barrier (12.5 miles)

3. Temporary Crossover w/ Plastic Drums $700K

– 17.5’ horizontal clearance, 24-hour restriction

– 19’ horizontal clearance at start/end

– Speed Reduction to 45mph

Scope - design of weather responsive Variable Speed

Limit system on US97 from Lava Butte (MP 143) to Spring

Creek Hill (MP 244). Project is not funded for construction.

ORS366.215 Impacts – cantilever mounted Variable

Message Signs and Variable Speed Signs will encroach

over the roadway. Current design calls for 18’-0” vertical

clearance.

Scope – Design and installation of two Variable Message

Signs (VMSs); one on I-84 Hood River Eastbound (MP63.04)

and one on US97 @ Biggs Junction Southbound (MP TBD).

ORS366.215 Impacts – cantilever mounted VMSs will

encroach over the roadway. The current design is

proposing 18’-0” to 19’-0” vertical clearance.

Three lane highway (US97) without signals or roundabouts. In the

future, lands to the east and west of the highway will compete with

high demand on the highway.
