Student Nurses Do student nurses attend your chapter meetings? Do you educate and/or collaborate with students regularly? Read along as we explore the concept of students joining our chapters.

Any U.S. citizen (or a non-citizen of the U.S. who resides within the boundaries of the U.S.) who is a student in an accredited, professional nursing program and is currently not licensed as a registered nurse is eligible. Your membership includes all AACN benefits. Of note: Student members may not vote, hold office or serve on committees at either the national or chapter level.

ning the Region 2 & 3 2015 Collaborative: forum,

agenda, speakers, topics and chapter advisor

roles.

Your responses related to conference timing, fre-

quency and host selection will expedite planning

future meetings beginning in 2016.

AACN has over 1,300 ambassadors, some have served in the role for over 10 years.

Do you know what Ambassadors do?

AACN Ambassadors serve a fundamental role in advancing the mission of AACN by advocating for professional practice and promoting excellence in acute and critical care nursing. They accomplish this by communicating the value of AACN and championing:

Membership in the professional AACN community.

Specialty certification for acute and critical care nurses.

Evidence-based practice standards and protocols.

Recognition of excellence through the Beacon unit excellence program.

Engagement in educational opportunities including NTI, e-learning and the free CE center.

Local AACN chapter involvement.

Contact local AACN Ambassadors and invite them to your chapter and work place activities. Or, better yet, allow the Ambassador role to be the Focus of Your Flame this year by signing up to become an Ambassador today.
