POTENTIAL +/- DIFFERENCE INC. Regenerative Acceleration (ReGenX) Generator Innovation
1. The Salient Pole ReGenX Generator innovation employs a 45 – 70 degree Load
Current Delay which reverses a conventional generator’s resistive Armature Reaction
and replaces it with an assistive Armature Reaction in its place.
2. When the ReGenX Generator is placed on-load it does not create a Counter-
Electromotive-Torque and rob the driveshaft of torque and power as per the
conventional generator’s Armature Reaction paradigm, but rather it creates a
Complementary-Electromotive-Torque and adds to the driveshaft’s available torque and
power.
3. Because the ReGenX Generator creates an induced electromagnetic torque direction
that is identical to the driveshaft’s input torque direction at idle, the typical mechanical
drive shaft input power increase that is required by all conventional generators to sustain
generator output power on-load is removed.
4. In fact when the ReGenX Generator is placed on-load both the drive shaft torque and
speed (drive shaft power) increase and the Prime Mover supplied drive shaft power must
be reduced if a steady state speed is desired.
5. Third party testing at Ottawa University showed up to a 40% reduction in prime mover
input power consumption required to maintain a set steady state speed established at
idle.
6. The same tests also demonstrated that the greater the magnitude of the ReGenX
generator’s output power delivered to a load, the greater the magnitude of prime mover
input reduction required.
7. Because the ReGenX Generator does not diminish available drive shaft power when
delivering power to a load (like a brake) but rather increases it (like an extra motor,
delivering output electrical power while reducing the original drive motor’s required input
power) it can be incorporated anywhere there is kinetic energy, such as conveyor
systems, escalators, elevators and in electric vehicles.
8. In EVs the ReGenX Generator may be used during acceleration as a standalone
ReGen-X Motor or as a supplementary motor to the existing drive motor.
9. Once up to speed the each Salient Pole (independent) ReGenX Generator coil within the
ReGenX Generator can operate in three different modes as dictated by the CPU and
driver demands or load demands.
10. The three different modes of ReGenX coil operation include; 1) ReGen-X Motor Mode,
2) ReGenX Generator, Regenerative Acceleration (supercharger) Mode,
3) Regenerative Braking Mode.
11. EV battery recharging occurs in all three modes.
12. The ReGenX Generator allows for EV battery recharging during 100% of the EV
operation and even beyond 100% duration, during non-use if a Kinetic Energy Recovery
System (KERS) is employed that will allow continued battery recharging after use or at
stop lights etc.
