Reefer Manager and Advance software release 03.03.08Beta Test Plan

Purpose:The goal of this Beta testing is to validate the operation of the Reefer Manager, Service Manager, Data Manager and Reports applications and gather performance feedback regarding the following:

Usability of Reefer Manager Usability of the new Data Manager application Accuracy of the information displayed in the Reports application

o Graphical information o Event informationo Sensor information

Reefer Manager, Data manager, Reports and CCN driver installation process Serial communication with Summit controllers and data links systems Send configurations serially to summit, and advance controllers PC card operation

o Ability to read dcx files from download cardso Ability to load software on an advance controller using Reefer Manager & Service

Manager o Ability to write configuration, functional parameter and datacorder information to

PC card using Reefer Manager and Service Manager Introduction of additional Intellisets (30 total) to the advance software Evaluate the information presented in the help file

Scope:Reefer Manager is a PC software application that is used by service engineers; design engineers, technicians, service managers and customer to extraction downloads and configure Carrier Truck / Trailer units. To ensure that the application does meet its design requirements, the following scenarios must be validated successfully:

Customers:The service engineering organization shall define customers they wish to participate in the Reefer Manager Beta testing.

EMEA:EMEA service engineers country and selected service managers:

Duration:This Beta testing shall begin May 11, 2004 and shall end on May 21, 2004. All feedback must be sent to the Kevin Barnett : Kevin.Barnett@carrier.utc.com by May 28, 2004.

Verification Plan:

Advance units: Load software version 03.03.08 into units configured with advance units and validate the functionality shaded light blue on the Reefer Manager and Reports requirements traceability matrices. Once testing has been completed, the user shall reload the previous software version into the unit.

Note: Advance release 03.03.08 is an engineering test build of software and it should not be installed on units that are carrying loads.

ACCEPTANCE CRITEIA:

Reefer Manager is a merger of Service Manager, Data Manager and Reports. With the modifications made the Intelliset feature and the PC card interface, the items mention below required acceptance criteria. All of other feature already existed in the merged applications and do not require acceptance criteria, because the operation of those feature should be known by the beta testing participants.

Intelliset card operation :
