I chose this Image as my double page spread background as this image has all the necessary benefits to make my magazine consistent and original. The background of the picture which reveals a waterfall, is soothing and calm much like Indian music. This sets the reader into a calm mind frame making the magazine more enjoyable and pleasurable. The artists themselves are dressed in blue and beige which might suggest the current fashion at this time that the magazine would be released. The colour palate used is light and not to eye catching meaning it wont distract the reader away from the text. The angle taken of the shot and the positioning of the artists makes the text fit suitably in between the artist and in the waterfall almost as if the artist themselves are reading.
