Avaya announces new partner program

It provides policy enforced secure access to authorised remote and mobile users for all data types.

Avaya Edge will help drive mutual profitability and better equip partners with skills.

Fadi Moubarak, Avaya

The new program — Avaya Edge — will help drive mutual profitability and better equip partners with the skills needed to help customers achieve their digital transformation objectives.

According to the company, key elements of the program include simplified structure with streamlined requirements, new gem designation levels such as Diamond, Sapphire and Emerald that reduce complexity and the resources needed for partners to manage the program. Through the new program partners can also now be compensated for a broader scope of revenue, including not only hardware/product sales as well as recurring services and software. In addition, new incentives will reward partners for

access to authorised remote and mobile users for all data types across any device.

“The exponential growth of BYOD and the increased need for remote access have driven a new requirement for security with high availability to business wireless and mobile networks,” said Bill Conner, President and CEO, SonicWall. “Increasingly, the complexity of connecting any mobile device with data of all types has also hindered the ability of businesses to securely expand their access. SonicWall Secure Mobile Access provides customers and partners with highly reliable access security without the

strategic areas of achievement, such as customer value, growth and new product adoption.

To support the transition, existing authorized partners are evaluated under both the previous and new programs and awarded at the higher level for the first six months.

“We are introducing the Avaya Edge program to provide the flexibility required in the market today, within a supportive structure. This new program empowers our channel partners to take our innovative solutions into the marketplace and help our customers achieve their digital business goals,” said Fadi Moubarak, Channel Leader, Europe and AMEA, Avaya.

Avaya has announced a new channel program, which according to the company, can give partners the flexibility to meet their customers’ needs in today’s fast-paced digital marketplace, while providing greater rewards for those partners that deliver exceptional value.

risk and complexity of moving to the cloud.”

New features of the SonicWall SMA 1000 Series OS 12.0 include global high availability offers a turnkey approach to delivering remote access where a high degree of business continuity is required, all without any downtime and aggressive SLAs; blended SSO technology, which enables organizations to move to the cloud utilising a single pane of glass to access traditional campus resources and SaaS cloud applications, allowing service owners to seamlessly move resources to the cloud while maintaining a familiar access experience for their users.

OPINIONViewpoint: Digital transformation

As we move from the information era to the digital era, the network continues to grow in relevance. It connects all things digital and is the lifeblood of digital business. If the network foundation crumbles, the business will be crippled. Digital transformation – the connection of people, businesses and things through technology has become critical for the economic development of the Maghreb and WCA region.

According to Forrester, nearly 4 of 5 business leaders believe that IT has the responsibility to ensure the network can support the company’s digital plans. Yet, 67 percent of businesses believe the current network is the bottleneck. The highly reliable and resilient networks that have served the business for the past 30 years simply cannot scale for the growing digital demands of 5.4 billion mobile users and 30 billion IoT devices by 2020, Big Data storage reaching 73 exabytes by 2019 and 57 percent of organizations using or planning to use the cloud.

We need to start building the skills for the future workforce to be able to operate in a digitally transformed Maghreb and WCA region. That is why in Morocco, we trained 11,767 students via our Networking Academy, our flagship CSR program in FY16 of which 33 percent were female in order to make sure that we encourage a diverse workforce.

Increasingly, customers are needing more of our guidance and thought leadership as industry experts while they adopt to digital transformation.

Abdelilah Nejjari, GM, Cisco Maghreb, discusses the key elements of the digital era.

features, delivering a more secure platform for mission-critical deployments and other essential workloads.

With the new platform, customers can now deploy a fully-integrated, multi-site disaster recovery solution without having to also rely on custom or third-party solutions, resulting in potentially reduced costs and speedier times to deployment.

They can compare multiple solutions, subscribe with their AWS account, and never reenter payment information. After subscribing, they can directly access the Trend Micro site to set up their account.

“Trend Micro’s offering of Deep Security with SaaS Subscriptions on AWS Marketplace makes it easier than ever to use software vital for running a business,” said Justin Foster, Head of Cloud Workload Security, Trend Micro. “With the increasing demand for proven security solutions that help with shared security responsibility in the cloud, AWS has made it easy to find, subscribe to and procure software like Deep Security, all on a single bill.”
