WELCOMEAn incredible opportunity has been given to you: the task of organizing a gathering. But it’s more than just a meeting, right? It’s the positive results of the meeting you are working toward. Sparks of creativity, inspiration and energy, that’s the goal. It all begins with the location, and part of your success can be inspired by the refreshing and natural atmosphere of Redding, California.

To meeting groups, sports teams, filming crews and event organizers, we are offering a gathering unlike others in the past, a fresh getaway that includes opportunities for team building adventures. There are several options in this guide and our specialists will be glad to help you find outings that fit your needs, along with your meet-ing space, meals, and well deserved beds for rest.

As our mountains fascinate and our waters liberate, you will quickly realize why Redding’s surroundings are called the Shasta Cascade Wonderland. Leave the traffic, parking fees, and typical behind; the fresh air is free and we are happy to share.

Redding is the northern California basecamp of recreation, resting below Mount Shasta, Lassen Volcanic National Park, and the Trinity Alps. Graced by the Sacramento River winding through downtown, the city boasts two

high priority advantages for groups of all kinds. First, a natural and refreshing landscape. Visitors to Redding will find themselves in a horseshoe of mountains, claiming short distances to wilderness and adventures from rock climbing and hiking to birding, fishing and lavender gathering. Secondly, Redding is the largest city in California north of Sacramento and offers modern amenities. You will find convention hotels and the spacious Redding Civic Auditorium, as well as the historic Cascade Theatre, Shasta State Historic Park, boutiques, fantastic dining options, wine tasting and some of the most magnificent walking trails in the world, including the Sacramento River National Recreation Trail.

MUST-SEE ICONSSUNDIAL BRIDGEVisitRedding.com/SundialBridgeThis one-of-a-kind, glass decked pedestrian bridge serves as an incredible entrance to Redding’s Sacramento River National Recreation Trail. The unique design of the bridge was conceived by world-renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. It is the first bridge of its kind in the United States, and is the tallest working sundial in the world! The massive 217’ pylon leans due north and functions as the gnomon of a sundial, casting its giant shadow on a garden-bordered dial plate at the bridge’s north end. The tall pylon and cable stays allow the bridge to avoid the nearby sensitive salmon spawning habitat. Receptions under the bridge are available.844 Sundial Bridge Drive / 530-225-4100Directions to Sundial Bridge / Turtle Bay: From North and South: I-5 to Exit 678/Hwy 44W, one mile west to Exit 1 / Sundial Bridge Drive. Right at top of off-ramp, stay right to Turtle Bay parking lot on right and Sundial Bridge parking lot on left. From the West/Downtown Redding: Hwy 299 through Downtown Redding, south on Market Street two blocks.
