Northern Dancer line he has worked particularly well with mares descending from Danzig (including Group One winner Red Dazzler out of a mare by Danehill, and Group winner Portillo out of a mare Polish Precedent), Nijinsky II (including Strawberry Road), Lyphard (including classic winner Casual Look out of a mare by Manila), The Minstrel, Storm Bird (through Storm Cat and Summer Squall), Be My Guest, Last Tycoon and Sadler’s Wells and his brother Fairy King.

From the Mr. Prospector line Red Ransom has sired Champion Intikhab out of a mare by Crafty Prospector, as well as stakes winners out of mares by Gone West (as well as graded winner Domesday, out a mare by Gone West son Zafonic), Woodman, Bellotto and Mr. Prospector himself. Red Ransom has also enjoyed success with mares descending from Mr. Prospector’s sire, Raise a Native through Alydar (and his son, Saratoga Six).

Red Ransom has worked well with mares descending from Ribot. He has a graded stakes winner out of a mare by Alleged (by Hoist the Flag, a son of Tom Rolfe), a graded stakes winner out of a mare by His Majesty, and two stakes winners out of mares by sons of Graustark.

Red Ransom has two stakes winners, including Group One winner Charge Forward out of mares by Bletchingly, from the Biscay branch of the Star Kingdom line. From another established local sire line, Red Ransom has the brilliant fi lly Hailbery out of a mare by Sir Tristram.

The mating of Red Ransom with a mare by Arazi (by Blushing Groom) resulted in Dubai World Cup (Gr.1) winning Champion Electrocutionist. He also has a stakes winner out of a mare by another son of Blushing Groom, Runaway Groom. Blushing Groom is a Nasrullah line stallion.

Red Ransom has sired 14 Gr.1 winners in the UK, USA, Italy, Dubai, Canada, Germany and of course here in Australia. Whether it is the Breeders Plate at Randwick, the Breeders Cup in the USA or the Dubai World Cup – Red Ransom is in his element.
