Here no. Here no. Here yes! Red Eye Tree Frogs live in Central America that's 4,182 miles away! In Cost Rica on the leaves of Kapok they hop around looking for food. I bet you can't find them because there all the way in the canopy of the rain forest. You might also find them in a lake or river. They live live every where in Cost Rica but mostly in a forrest. But if you see them any where else there will be branches near it.

Where In the World

The rainforest is an extreme place to live. It has two seasons a hot, dry season and a wet, cold season. During the dry season the temperature can reach over 100 degrees F. In the wet season the temperature can drop to 60 degrees and it gets anywhere from 80 to 260 inches of rain. That would give us a flood because we only get about 40 to 50 inches of rain in the United States. So how does the tree frog survive in this outstanding habitat? He has amazing body features.

Red eye tree frogs start as a egg like you would think but when the mother lays a egg there's a huge pack with a few dozen eggs in it. The mother lays the eggs on a leaf above the water. But in a few weeks the eggs will drop. Then the tiny eggs will hatch into tadpoles for a new form of the frog.1 down 3 to go. Tadpoles are animals that grow up to be a froglet, the whole processes can take up to 2 years . When they are tadpoles the frogs look like eels so be careful not to get confused but how you can know is if the eels have tiny arms and legs that means they are a tadpole. If not watch out! Froglet. Froglets are the 3rd to last stage of the frog there just like a frog but they still have their tale. They start as a brown ugly froglet but when they grow up there are as colorful as a red eye tree frog. Last but not least the fully grown frog, when the froglet is 2 years old it turns into a frog. And those are the stages of a red eye tree frog.
