OUTREACH MINISTRY

Members of this ministry primarily bring the Eucharist to those of our parish who are unable to attend a Mass on the weekend. Contact the rectory to find out more about this ministry. Or contact the rectory if you know of someone who would appreciate receiving the Eucharist at home.

Haiti Sewing Ministry As we look ahead, we are taking a month’s break during July, so our Wednesday sessions will not take place for the entire month of July. We will resume our Wednesday morning sessions on August 1st. Our loyal volunteers work together every Wednesday morning all year long, and we wish them a relaxing, well-deserved month-long break. We look forward to resuming our fun Wednesday meetings in August. See you then!

PLEASE DON’T FORGET ST. COLUMBA Summer is here, school is out and it’s time to think about your family’s summer vacation. While you are enjoying your summer with your family, please do not forget about your St. Columba family.

continue year round. Please mail or make-up your

FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME We’re not alone “Through him, with him, in him.” This phrase from the Eucharistic Prayer we hear at every Mass says a lot with a few well-chosen prepositions. Whatever it is we’re out there doing, we’re never doing it alone. It’s through Christ that we serve the needs of our families, friends, and strangers too with our charity. It’s with Christ that we suffer burdens of loss, betrayal, sickness, loneliness. It’s in Christ that we’re strengthened to speak the truth, seek justice, and promote peace with our words and actions. Take a moment to ground yourself in Christ. TODAY'S READINGS: Amos 7:12-15; Ephesians 1:3-14 or 1:3-10; Mark 6:7-13 (104). “In him we have redemption . . . in him we were also chosen . . . in him you also . . . were sealed.”

Theology on Tap Join young adults (18-30s) from around the diocese for our July Young Adult Mass Mob! Come and bring your friends to Mass on Sunday, July 22nd at 5pm at St Joseph's Parish in Charlton, MA. Stick around for the bonfire and cookout after Mass!

What is a Mass Mob???

Mass mobs are a monthly gathering for Young Adults in our diocese that are basically a Catholic liturgical form of a flash mob. Each month, we will pick a different parish in the diocese and simply encourage young adults to gather at one of the weekend Masses. The goal is to gather as many young adults together for Mass as possible. Following Mass, we will have a social activity planned geared toward Young Adults (ages 18—30).
