Saturday October 5th 10:00am – 2:00pm

Wednesday, October 9th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Station 2 - 130 Prospect St., Beeton This is your opportunity to learn about Home Fire Prevention, Home Escape Planning and even

get to sit in a fire truck!

New Tecumseth Fire Rescue is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) – the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week for more than 90 years – to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign: Not every hero wears a cape “Plan and Practice you Escape!”. The campaign works to educate the public about basic but essential ways to quickly and safely escape a home fire. Did you know? In a typical home fire, you may have as little as one or two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Escape planning and practice can help you make the most of the time you have, giving everyone time to get out. Plan ahead, make your home escape plan and practice that plan. “Working in the fire service for many years, we know that people often make choices in fire situations that jeopardize their safety or even cost them their lives,” said Deputy Fire Chief Simon Worley of New Tecumseth Fire Rescue. “We need to do a better job of teaching people about the potentially life-saving difference escape planning and practice can make and motivating them to action.”

Creating a delicious, pleasureable experience is our ultimate goal.
