The Trees for Tomorrow program provides residents with 2” caliper trees planted in their yards at a discounted price. All the trees are selected by Thornton Forestry staff based on their ability to survive in Colorado soils and climate conditions. Trees are available to city of Thornton single family residences only. Please note tree choices are subject to change.

COST: $275 per treeREGISTRATION OPTIONS:Walk-in: Monday, April 30 • 8-11:30 a.m. Carpenter Recreation CenterOnline: Monday, April 30 • Opens 8 a.m. www.cityofthornton.net/registration Must have proven Thornton residency and assigned a username and password in order to login to their account.

At the time of registration, you will be given a stake to place in your yard where the tree is to be planted. Utility locates are arranged by the city contractor. Trees are planted in June by a city-contracted tree service and may be planted anywhere on your property.

Your tree will come with a one year warranty. This warranty does not apply to trees planted in historically wet areas of a yard, nor does the warranty cover trees that are over or under watered.

Forestry staff is available to meet with residents to assist in the tree planting location. We are best reached through email at [email protected] or you may call our forestry staff directly and leave a message.
