Recording at Fattoria Musica with Chris Weeda The Fattoria Musica Studios are the largest recording facility in Northern Germany with great sounding rooms and state of the art equipment. The Studio is located on a fully renovated farm originally build in 1878. The main studio has 4 seperate recording rooms with different size and acoustics and a beautiful Steinway D grand piano. The studio offers Protools recording, StageTech converters, a 50 channel ADT analog mixing desk, many great mic’s and mic pre-amps, the wonderful Aviom individual monitoring system. Several guest rooms, a kitchen and a living room with a large fireplace are available for our musicians. Clients come from all over the place. Artists included Martin Fondse’s Starvinsky Orkestar, Harmen Fraanje Trio, Ken Vandermark, Zapp Stringquartet, Nils Wülker feat. Dominic Miller, Eric Vloeimans. Jim Black and Frank Möbus, Jonas Schoen, Tatiana Koleva, Tutu Puoane, Florian Ross, Hein Van de Geyn, TriDali, Andreas Schnermann, Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, Klaus Ignatzek, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Pascal Schumacher, New Generation Big Band, Jeroen van Vliet, Tingvall Trio, Jan Menu & Jesse van Ruller, Simin Tander, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Fra Fra Sound, Philip Catherine, Laura Fygi, Holland Big Band, Kenny Werner and many, many others.



Animation-movie scores recorded are: Fallin’ Floyd, Pecker, Audition and many others.

Live/location recording with Chris Weeda A highly professional 64 track recording set consisting of two redundant (madi) Protools 11HD rigs with Apogee clock, Millennia pre-amps, SSL converters all in two 19” racks with proper talkback system and monitoring. A very high quality microphone set consisting of DPA, Neumann, AKG, Royer, Coles and Beyer (ribbon). It can be integrated in a P.A. setup with Digico or Avid or used as a very compact stand alone recording set on almost any location. In an extensive collaboration with Roel Snellebrand (owner of Musica Divina rental) we recorded a bunch of impressive releases:

The general price of this set is about 960 euro ex v.a.t. This may vary on the complexity of the recording.

Mixing at Sudio Rapenburg. It took a couple of years to find the right setup for mixing at home but it’s there now. Many great albums have been mixed (with a good cup of espresso coffee or a glass of wine) since then on my Protools 11 rig that includes many of the nice plug-ins like Altiverb, Sony Oxford, Massenburg, Brainworks and PSP, Melodyne, Fabfilter and a great set of PMC monitors and top quality DA converter. In collaboration with Peter Brussee of Q Point Mastering or Darius van Helfteren of Amsterdam Mastering (plus a super fast internet connection for up/downloading audio) provides great professional input on productions in progress.
