Jacob Hamfeldt Kold has had position as a Bachelor in our laboratory at the Niels Bohr lnstitute that lasted for several monthS. During this period I was the supervisor of his master project on collision of action potentials in nerves. Hence, I had the opportunity to follow his work along that period. His work in our laboratory has certainly exceeded even our expectations and he has performed a number of electrophysiology studies of the highest quality using Lumbricus terrestris. His preliminary work as a bachelor student resulted in further experiments that where published in Physical review X in 2014. He has demonstrated a profound knowledge of membrane biophysics and their relation with neuroscience. Also, he plans his work very systematically and runs experiments efficiently. He is very good to work with and he interacts very well with other group members. Because he is a very component researcher, it is without reservation that I give him my best recommendations. Certainly he will be a valuable asset in any research team looking for an optimal PhD student, lf you would like to have further information regarding MSc.
