StatMatTM ESD CleanerThis cleaner enhances and extends a facility’s

ESD program. As a general rule, everybenchtop mat and floor mat should becleaned once each shift. Micro Care has founddirty tools and mats on workbenches harbor-ing up to 30,000 volts. DRY LUBRICANTSCertain Micro Care solvents also serve as

carrier agents for coatings and lubricants. Themost common coatings are silicones (in con-centrations up to 15% or so) and PTFE pow-dered coatings (up to 9%). Most users dilutethe concentrates to 1% by weight.

The nonflammable carrier fluid deposits thecoating in a dipping process. Irregular shapescan be coated as easily as a flat platter. Theprimary benefits are enhanced throughput,improved quality and lower total costs.

These applications usually require customblends from Micro Care. However, the VDXaerosol using PTFE lubricants is very popular.

Micro Care Aircraft Flush 2 A near-azeotrope from Micro Care, this

cleaner is optimized for the removal of hy-draulic fluids from aircraft, such as “Skydrol”and fluids based on MIL-5606 fluids. Safe onurethane paints.

Vertrel® CHDThe most powerful degreaser. It removes all

sorts of greases, cutting oils and lubricatingoils. It also can remove silicone residues. Teston plastics. Special Note: Vertrel® CHD is notsuitable for use in vapor degreasers.

DRYING

Vertrel® XDAUse Vertrel® XDA to remove entrapped wa-

ter after an aqueous wash. Optimized forapplications in which large quantities of wa-ter must be removed. Rinsing required.

SILICONE SWELLING

Stencil Wiping SystemsFor stencil cleaning rolls, Micro Care only

uses first-quality hydroentangled “non-woven” spunlace material from DuPont. Thispaper is a blend of ultra-pure cellulose paperand an ultra-clean rayon/polyester fabric. Thesynthetic fabric provides great strength whilethe cellulose provides great absorption. Whenyou use Micro Care rolls, you can be assuredthat only DuPont quality will be cleaning yourstencils. Here’s what that quality brings:1 – Lower Fiber & Particle Counts

Micro Care rolls will contain fewer brokenfibers, resulting in less visible contamination100µ or larger. The binders used in cheaperrolls tend to let the paper abrade, yieldinghigher particle counts.2 – Less Ionic Contamination

Sontara does not release any sodium andchloride ionic contamination which could beredeposited on the stencil and boards. Fab-rics not manufactured by DuPont may havehigher extractables, often up to 1% of theweight of the sheet.

3 – Reduced Non-Volatile Residues

Binders often leave white residues whichare highly visible, impair the effectiveness ofconformal coatings and increase the rejec-tion rates during QC inspection.4 – Greater Durability

Sontara papers are completely unaffectedby electronics-grade solvents. Sontara wipesexhibit a tensile strength of up to 400N/90lbs., depending upon the fabric, and will re-tain 75% of this strength even when wet.6 – Consistent Cleaning

Since there are no nonvolatile binders,chemicals, adhesives, or surface finishesadded to the paper during the manufactur-ing process, the fabric is more consistent fromlot to lot, and the wiping process will be morereliable.7 – Greater Absorption

Binders fill the gaps between the fibers inthe fabric, clogging spaces that would oth-erwise absorb solvents, solder paste and ep-oxies. Sontara fabrics lead the industry inpurity, puffiness and softness.
