Building on the very successful Channel Islands Medieval History Conference of 2016, this exciting event hosted by the Société
Jersiaise Archaeology Section showcases the very best and up-to-date archaeological research into our Islands, and nearby parts of France.
Our range of expert speakers are drawn from archaeologists working in Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Alderney, with selected academics from both
French and English Universities.
The conference will take place in the Members Room at the Société Jersiaise, 7 Pier Road, St Helier, Jersey,
on the 6th to 9th September 2018.

A reception for delegates will be held at the Société Jersiaise’s headquarters building in St Helier, from 18.30-19.30. It will include a presentation by Roger Hills of Jersey Heritage, on the new Historic Environment Record for Jersey.

Day 4, Monday 10th September
Field Visits On Monday 10th September, a coach will arrive to collect individuals who have pre-booked a place for the tour. There is a maximum limit of 35 people and placement will be given on a first come, first served basis. The cost for the Field Trip is £10 per person and includes lunch.
There are two tours for this trip:
Tour 1 is a tour of prehistoric sites
Tour 2 is a tour of Gallo-Roman modern sites.
The day will begin at Société Jersiaise HQ at 9.00, return to SJ at approximately 17.00.
