Recap from Team Leader, Denny Bergakker: “On May 16 a team from Calvary left Grand Rapids to work with mission- aries Lucky and Sonnet Minisi in Chinhangane, Mozambique. The mem- bers of this team listened to God’s call for them to go to Mozambique and submitted to what God had asked them to do. God blessed their obedience in many ways for not only our missionaries and the people of Chinhangane, but also for those who went. The team spent eight days teaching Bible stories to the adults, youth and children of the village. They also spent time doing evangelism in the village, telling stories about Jesus and inviting the people they met with to come to the teachings. Seeing Sandros’ new church building – complete with windows and concrete floor – was a big answer to our prayers for a Biblical church in the village. God is working in the hearts of the people of Chinhangane and the Chris- tians there are growing in knowledge and numbers. The team returned to Grand Rapids on May 28 feeling blessed to be used by God in this important ministry.” Romans 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not be- lieved in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Calvary, we are currently accepting applications for an upcoming Mozambique Short Term Missions trip.
