So why buy your meat this way
• The price is Equitable £45 buys 10 kilos about the same as the supermarket
• The farmer delivers if to my door – in a black plastic bag.
• I know they are culled humanely
• I see the sheep everyday, they have a good life and no chemicals are added to their fields.
![Page 9: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
So what about veg?
![Page 10: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
The potatoes come out of the field behind our house
![Page 11: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
As do the onions
![Page 12: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
And the carrots
![Page 13: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
And this lot costs us about £3
![Page 14: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Milk, eggs and orange juice are all provided by the milkman
![Page 15: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Which leaves little to buy in the supermarket
![Page 16: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Some groceries
![Page 17: Real Food2](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022061218/54b7fea74a79596d628b4574/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
And more exotic fruit and veg – broccoli + melon; mostly fair trade
The suede is local

We even think carefully about how it is packaged
