The office sector in the early 21st century encompasses a diverse array of end users on both the tenant and investor side. From tech start-ups that may have only recently moved up from incubator space to firms in expansion mode to the largest multinational cor-porations, all have leasing requirements. On the investment sales side, the buyer pool ranges from high net worth individuals to major institutions—as does the pool of sellers. Addressing the demands of all of these parties are the nation’s office brokers, and we have spotlighted some of the industry’s best dealmakers on the both the leasing and sales sides. Whether they worked in teams or as individuals, these profes-

sionals have arranged some of the biggest office transactions of the past several months.

METHODOLOGY: Deal information is for com-missionable office leasing and investment sales transactions closed nationwide during

the 12-month period between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. All data has been supplied and veri-fied by the companies

themselves. In order to even the playing field between bro-kers in varying markets, all

brokers were scored on three fields: the total number of transactions, the total

square footage of all transactions and the total value of all transactions. The final score was based on the average of the three fields, and determined the brokers’ ranking in the final list. In the event of a tie, the broker(s) with the highest dollar value of deals took the higher ranking.
