On September 30, 2009, Kratos Public Safety & Security Solution, Inc.’s

(Kratos PSS) Mid-Atlantic region was awarded the Ronald Reagan

National Airport Buried Cable Intrusion Detection System bid as a result

of a competitive solicitation. The Mid-Atlantic team partnered with

Senstar, an industry leader in perimeter security solutions, IST (a small

integrator in Herndon, VA), and Dominion Contracting, both of which are

locally based contractors in Washington, D.C.

The contract award, valued at just under three quarters of a million

dollars, included the construction of a new direct buried RF based sensing

system that encompassed areas of the airside of the �eld that could not

be secured using traditional methods. This system then tied into the

existing Software House system.
