Ideally EMRs were designed to cut down on costs and to save time along with improving patient care. However, the steps to all the above do not require the elimination of the dictation- transcription process in its entirety.

MT Solutions introduces a method that will:

• Cut down on Costs• Save Time• Improve Patient Care

Strategy Time Comparison Patient Visits Completed

30(impersonal visits)

EMR + Dictation Dictation: 1 to 3 minutes per dictation

40(one-on-one visits)

The parts of the note that are dictated for this process usually include history of the present illness, physical exam, radiographs, assessment and plan. The other parts of the note are already entered into the EMR either by front office staff, nurse, or the patient themselves in some cases.

This process will save the physician time while improving the one-on-one experience with the patient. Not only that, this will lower transcription costs in the range of 20 to 40%.

EMRs are used differently by every user and every speciality.

Point and Click methods are extremely time consuming for a majority of users.

Dictation saves time for those users. Transcribed reports can be entered directly

into EMR in the correct location. Finding the solution that fits each client’s work

flow is our specialty.
