Reading Enjoying books and reading stories from an early age is crucial in the development of children. It helps their ability to understand words, use their imagination and de- velop their speech, as well as being something they really enjoy. At least one or twice a week, please share and read a book with your child. Please discuss the story with your child. Talk and ask questions about the book, the setting, and different charac- ters within the book. Encourage your child to talk about their favourite part of they story and get them to explain why they like a certain part. Use Busythingsand Jolly Phonicssong to support phonics learning. The children currently in school will be accessing the same learning over the forth coming weeks.
