name is Tommy. He was just born ten

months ago. Cara's dad said, Mom

will need lots of help. Cara helps feed

grass and flying in the yard?

Are they monsters? Are they UFOs?

No, they arent monsters and they arent

UFOs. Theyre fireflies.

Fireflies are little insects that glow with a

cool green light. If you touch one it wont

burn you.

Some fireflies glow to warn other animals

that they dont taste good. Frogs, bats,

and birds do not like to eat animals that

glow. The glow helps keep fireflies safe.

Sometimes we call fireflies glow worms.

You can catch fireflies in a jar. Dont

forget to let them go again.

his pole. His dad took some worms.

They got on a boat. The boat was in a

big lake. Ben's dad drove the boat. He

Matt opened up his math book and

grabbed his notebook.

"Uh oh," Matt said as he looked in his

pencil case. His pencil was not there.

"Where is my pencil?" Matt asked. "I need

my pencil to do my homework."

was not there. Matt looked around his

desk. He did not see his pencil. Matt

looked at the floor.

"Mom, I cannot find my pencil," Matt

She said, "Look over there."

"What? My pencil is not over there,"

Matt said.

When Matt looked in the mirror, he

blushed. His pencil was behind his ear!

shade. Bud flies around the tree. "The

shade does not hide me!"

Will looks around and disappears as Bud

swoops down. Bud eats

some bird seeds that he finds on the

ground.

from the tree!

Will smiles and says, "That was close!"

they wanted food. Zac wanted

ham. Sam wanted chips and dip.

I want to get ham, said Zac.

I do not want to get ham, said Sam. I

want to get chips and dip.
