• Good primary school readers are shown to experience more success in secondary school and beyond.

• Once a child at school can read how do we develop them as a reader?

How does it work?• Children have already completed an online assessment.

• Children can choose books at an optimal level (ZPD) to promote success, enjoyment and progress.

• Books have been colour banded and labelled giving a variety of information including the ZPD and number of points.

• Children will take a short quiz once they have completed a book.

• The quizzes are a great motivator and also enable the teacher to monitor a child’s understanding of what they are reading

• Children can bring in books from home and see if they also have quizzes but not complete quizzes at home.
