C. 29829 Church Phone 803 663-7781 FROM OUR PASTOR “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” (1Corinthains 16: 13) The Apostle Paul was finishing up a difficult letter to a diffi- cult church. He gave the above scripture his final exhortation (or encouragement). To “stand fast” in ones faith literally means to hold tight, firm, or to stay true. The idea is one of a soldier standing strong against a coming enemy. He refuses to retreat no matter the pressure. He does not flinch, is not unstable, and is not defeated. For the born again believer this means he will “stand fast” no matter how great the trial, no matter the pressure or the temptation. Therefore, when the trials of life occur, the born again believer is to “ stand fast” in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are told to watch, stand, be brave, and strong. Then the following verse (v. 14) tells us to conclude all this “with Love”. One thing is for sure: people are still in need of encourage- ment to “stand fast, to be brave, and to be strong.” God Bless, Pastor Todd By Bruce Herring

FROM OUR PASTOR

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” (1Corinthains 16: 13)

The Apostle Paul was finishing up a difficult letter to a diffi-cult church. One thing is for sure: people are still in need of encourage-ment to “stand fast, to be brave, and to be strong.”

God Bless, Pastor Todd
