Post Learning:
(AT2) Reflect on what this visit has helped you to learn about Hinduism.
● What do you know now that you didn’t before the visit?
● What does taking your shoes off before you enter the temple say about Hinduism and respect?
● Were there any similarities or differences to other religions you have studied?
● What views do Hindus take on death? What is your opinion on their views?
● Did you notice any instruments or objects that they used and what were they for? Did they have a
specific name?● What did you observe about the arti ceremony? Is it similar or different to any other ceremonies
you know about?
● What were they wearing in the temple? What was the significance of this?
➢ Make a poster/document (using Thinglink, Padlet, Book Creator, Prezi or similar) to share your
response to these questions.
➢ Make Rangoli patterns, using rice, based on the main Hindu symbols found around the temple.
Photos of these could be taken and sent to the temple to support community cohesion and
networks.
Cross-curricular links:
ART: through the medium of Rangoli “produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their
experiences” (Department for Education, 2013).
ICT: “are responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication
technology”
