We were extremily happy to recieve your letter of March 15th. -Indeed, needless to say, we were surpriesed to learn that Radio Cultura's signal reached as far as Pennsylva- nia.- This from a technical point not only is interesting but also far our personal satisfaction.
As to technical information we have the lastest RCA. installations troughout our station with the strength of 10.000 watts level modulation. Our tower is 120 meters high in 1/2 waves, located just outside the city of Sao Paulo next to a little pond. We transmit from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sao Paulo ti- me.
Your report was quite correct and we would apre- ciate very much for our own personal information if you would try to recieve our signal again and advise us if this one ti- me is just freak happening or whether it is possible to recie- ve our signal with some degree of regularity this was the third time we got any report from the U.S.A. We are enclosing one of our catalogs which might prove interesting to you.

Your letter of January 10th has been forwarded to me for aknowledgement.
It gives me satisfaction to register your kind report of the reception
on the morning of the 9th ult. of our opening program for the broadcast of the day.
Confirmation of your reception has been mailed to you in Portuguese through
a letter from our admnistrative offices. I hope you could deciphrate its contents.
Portugueseos you know,differs very much from Spanish. So much so that while we
in the south can get along very well with our friends from Argentina and Uruguay,
our fellow countryman from north of Rio seldom understands these people.
This letter is therefore a further confirmation of the correctness of your
report which we find very useful. Indeed it gave us a good understanding of how far
reaching is travelling our carrier.
Our ten kilowatt transmitter was built in S. Paulo by Messrs Byington & Comp.
under especifications supplied by our technical department and has the following
arrangement!

on the surrounding of this city at an altitude of 3000 ft above sea level.
We have also a report of reception. of our program from Mr.Henry Holbrook of
6504 Chestnut St.,Chevy Chase 15,Maryland,who has given similar information. He
has tuned this station on the morning of the 6th inst.

Recebemos a sua carta de 13 de Janeiro proximo findo de cujos termos ficamos cientos.
Quanto a sua consulta temo a informar-ihe que realmente no dia 12 de Janeiro de 1940, sexta-feita, irradiamos o jogo de futeio1 entre combinados do Brasil e da Argentina. A trr.diaçáo teve inicio as 21,15 horas (hora do Rio de Janeiro) e terminou as 23,30 horas e naquele cotêjo, infelizmente, os nossos jogadores n.o levaram a melhor, perdendo para os argentinos pela contagem de 6 a 1.
Tambem levamos ao seu conhecimento que irradiamos na frequencia de 1.060 kilociclos.
