A MESSAGE FROM TOM ROSEN

Rosen’s Diversified Inc. was founded in 1946 by my father, Elmer Rosen and my uncle, Ludwig Rosen when they came home from military service in WWII.

With little money, but a strong work ethic, they began buying livestock in rural areas and hauling it to St. Paul, Omaha, Sioux City and beyond.

AG CHEMICALIn the late 1950’s, my dad, Elmer, began selling feed, fertilizer and chemicals to farmers. The Rosen brothers entered the “Ag Chemical” business at the right time and grew up along with it – innovating the industry along the way. Business sales expanded to dealers as well as elevators and fertilizer plants. Then they began acquiring distributor contracts from the basic suppliers.

Since then Rosen’s Inc has increased the chemical business to fifteen warehouses and a presence in seventeen states. Along the way, we’ve developed our own product lines, some of which are patented. We continue to plot a course of quality branded and proprietary products in the Ag Chemical Industry.

BEEF PROCESSINGIn 1974, the Rosen Brothers again expanded their business by purchasing a meat packing facility in Long Prairie MN, which marked our company’s entrance into the beef processing industry.

I observed, learned and then joined the family business in 1972 and became CEO in 1991.

We continue to stay close to our heritage today and have grown into a vertically integrated family of companies.

Capable of producing over 8 million pounds of ground beef a week, we offer a variety of lean points from 73% to 96%, as well as chuck, round and sirloin primal ground beef. Case-ready ground beef products in hi-ox and lo-ox formats are available in MAP and overwrap packing.

Ground beef chubs come in one, three and five-pound sizes. Minimal processing allows us to maintain freshness while preserving texture, taste and nutrition. Our packaging formats extend shelf life while enhancing quality.
